SOLVED: Mayflash GameCube Adapter Not Detected

I just got a 2-Port Mayflash GameCube Adapter, but no matter what I do I can't get the game to detect the controller. The adapter works just fine with Dolphin and can be used as a custom config, but it won't detect it automatically.

Through research in the community (and some of my own testing) I've already tried:
Validating game files
Editing the .ini file
Uninstalling/Reinstalling drivers
Using different USB ports
Using different controller ports

Any insight I can get on this would be appreciated - but worst case scenario (albeit not that bad) I have to use a custom config instead of the game's pre-made one.

Update: The controller, somehow for some reason, doesn't work with Hat in Time at all anymore. Works just fine with Dolphin and is detected by my computer. I don't even know anymore.
