The final one, where you do a boss rush with all the EX bosses.
compared to what it was pre-dlc2, there should be no need for P&T, if you really want it enable assist mode in game settings
The fact remains that I *should* have P and T for it, but do not because my game is bugged. I had at first thought that maybe I hadn't died enough, but now having died something like 65 times, it's clear that it would've shown up by now if it were going to.
Besides, it is *very* difficult, *especially* if you're going for the bonuses, since you cannot use any hat abilities. Also, there is zero way to practice Ultra Snatcher, you just have to learn the fight when you get to it, which is rather unfair.
I'm actually not sure if that's a bug; I think it's just that P&T is unfortunately not available at all for "Seal the Deal." I don't recall ever seeing it pop up for me when I did it a few months ago.
If you want to keep trying, and if you want to make a quasi-practice mode, I recommend getting the More Health Badge+ mod. It grants you very fast regen that effectively makes you immortal. Then, you can make it to Snatcher EX 2.0 and lock yourself in an eternal nightmare battle where you can't die and just practice dodging attacks for a while. I actually recommend doing that for any other bosses if you're also having trouble with them.
I might try and do that. Honestly there's only one EX boss that really gives me trouble and unfortunately she's the second to last one. I really suck at Mustache Girl Ex, and while I know there are strategies for her, it just seems to me that it always comes down to getting lucky that it doesn't either glitch or give me one of her really terrible attacks. The two things that get me killed most are when she teleports behind me during the TP attack, which I can't predict and am never ready for, and the freaking stomp attack, especially paired with the time piece drops. I just really hate that fight.
Mustache Girl is definitely one of the more difficult ones. And, yeah, I find her to be glitchy too.
For her teleport attack, how are you counterattacking? With the homing attack? If you haven't already, I'd try using the Umbrella instead. You have to be quick on the draw, immediately stepping in whatever direction she appears in and hitting attack, but I think it's much easier than the homing attack.
What are you doing for the stomp attack? In the second to last phase, you should be able to dodge them just by walking roughly along your x-axis and jumping over the shock waves when needed. The last phase is more dicey. I really just spend most of it not even looking at Hat Kid directly and just watching the floor ahead of me to avoid the RNG hourglasses. You have to kind of gain an intuitive sense of where you are at all times. Mustache Girl only does 4 stomps in this phase (6 in the previous one), and she does them so quickly, you don't really have time to counterattack, so it's best to just concentrate on walking in one direction and making slight adjustments to avoid the RNG hourglasses.
Sorry if you knew all these things already!
Mainly with the stomp, during the shield phase, I can never get to the apple without taking damage, so I generally just don't bother trying to hit her during that attack and focus on avoidance. For the TP attack, I tend to double jump to stay in the air longer, and then spam the homing attack button, but if she TPs behind me it won't work. The umbrella has a really small window to hit her with, and at least homing attack makes you invincible during it.
Gotcha. Yeah, for the shield phase, really the only way to get to the fruit is to, during the 6th stomp, you quickly dash along your z-axis over the remaining shock waves and run for the fruit.
I found it easier to just practice my reflexes with the umbrella, but you do you! I'm not sure if you could maybe force her to spawn in front of you by staying close to the arena's edge, with your back against the barrier. However, one time, I was too close to the edge, and she literally spawned on top of me and killed me with her slap that seemingly extends infinitely vertically, so it may not work.
Not to mention that, at least in the EX version, her slap can hit you from MUCH further away than you'd think it'd be able to.
I've encountered some real annoying glitches, such as the apples that are supposed to be thrown hitting the edge of the arena and getting stuck there, almost impossible to do anything with. Also, it's mentioned in the guides that her TP attack isn't SUPPOSED to ever end her up anywhere but in front of you, but she regularly spawns behind me anyways so...
