Another great, if somewhat antonymous, example would be Bloodborne, another of my favourites. The game released to massive fanfare, and, following the DLC, everyone was clamouring for a continuation. Although, as the years go by, it seems less likely we'll see one, and same could be said about A Hat in Time. And, really, that doesn't particularly bother me.
Nonetheless, that doesn't devaluate your experience with the game -- moreover, I'd say that the unique experience you had with it is all the more... I repeat myself, unique.
We may see a sequel to A Hat in Time, but we may not. If we don't, we still have what we have -- and sometimes that's just enough.
...ho boy, I seem to have rambled again. Have a good one, ladies and gents.
- new, maybe slightly longer and more challenging time rifts,
- more scenes with our favourite characters
- more AMAZING soundtrack
- more badges and costumes
- more lore regarding Vanessa and the Snatcher
and many, many more. There is just soo much potential here.
Plus... I really don't want the Empress' "We'll meet again, brat." to turn into another "I'll see you in Rayman 4." :(
The "I'll meet you again, brat" is a precedent of when you eventually sometime later revisit the Metro and the Empress, where she goes something like "look who came back, how bold, be glad the cops are all over the place now or I would kill you here now, so stay aware"
Yeah, but than again she says that eventualy all this will blow over. :)
I know, I'm most likely overinterpreting this, but it would be so cool to see her come back.
however whats the story gonna be? i have a feeling Hat Kid aint flying back to this planet
I wouldn't expect another DLC, and I wouldn't expect to see anything of a sequel any time too soon. They worked on Hat for a pretty long time, and unless I'm mistaken they're probably about ready to move on from Hat. I can't speak for them of course, but that is the impression I'm under.
