This game keeps crashing my PC? WTF

I play this game in between queues for a different game I play. My PC is able to run both of these at the same time with no issue.

This game will either crash when loading a level or completely shutdown my PC. What the actual ♥♥♥♥ is happening.

I noticed this has been happening to me lately specifically when I play rainy levels like Mafia Town Act 3: She Came From Outer Space. My computer would crash and a blue screen of death pops up and sends me right to my UEFI which I then have to shutdown my computer and turn it on again to exit out. This never was an issue before its frustrating as ♥♥♥♥

thats because its a big mod, one of the biggest on the workshop

I guess it's an issue with how the game is optimized. It uses 100% of your CPU when loading levels or if you alt + tab. Super frustrating especially since I mainly bought this game to play during my OW queues that are pretty long.

That's not poor optimization, that's how loading something ideally should be, able to scale well across multiple CPU cores. Have you tried running something like a stress test to see if that also causes issues like your computer shutting down? If so, that'd indicate an issue with your computer in general rather than with running this game specifically.

You could try preventing CPU usage by switching to borderless window for alt+tab and disabling precache shaders at the bottom of advanced graphics options for loading screens, although if it's only for this game I don't think it's just because of high CPU usage.
