A Hat in Time
Cruisin' For A Bruisin' Tips (Quite Extensive)
After managing 34/40 before it decided to put everything in that tall plant room, I figured I'd write this for others having trouble. (I think I'll just call that the "Green Room" from here on).

First of all, know the layout of the ship, this is critical to your success. Here's a quick rundown of what room links, at least from my experience, are most useful (note that I'm not listing all of them, just the ones most helpful to me):

Top of the Ship (pool icon) -> Left Side of the Ship, Green Room (Top), Daycare.
Very useful for all three rooms listed, make use of the swing and climbable objects.

Left Side of Ship -> Top of the Ship, Captain's Room.
This room is incredibly useful, as far as I can tell it's the quickest way from the bottom/middle to the top. Enter from the Captain's Room and use the Ice Hat.

Lobby (room with Seals at counter and Crows everywhere, "Cart thing" icon) -> Power Room, Gambling Room, Hallway.
Make use of the piles of luggage to reach Gambling Room quickly.

Hallway -> Kitchen, Lobby, Right Side. Really only useful as a link between Kitchen and Lobby.

Power Room (Octopus icon) -> Bridges between Laundry Room and Lobby. I generally only use this if I have a battery to deliver along the way, as the platforming is relatively time consuming.

Gambling Room (Dice icon) -> Lobby (top), Captain's Room, Green Room (Bottom).
Climb up the mask-looking thing from a machine to reach the top quickly. Very useful room.

Green Room (Fish thing icon) -> Easily the worst room for tasks to be put in, going through this thing is a pain, as far as I can tell it's faster to go from the top down, even if you're pretty close to it. (Unless it's the weed picking task.)

Captain's Room (Wheel icon) -> Left Side, Right Side, Kitchen, Gambling Room (through a hallway).
Use this room a lot, it's a very useful bridge.

Kitchen (Pot icon) -> Laundry Room, Resturant, Hallway.
Avoid slipping and the fire at all costs. It's never a time saver to tank the fire.

Laundry Room (Washer icon) -> Kitchen, Power Room.

Resturant (Fork and Knife icon) -> Kitchen, Captain's Room.
To go from the Kitchen to Captain's Room quickly, swing on the rope, go to the right side on top of the plates, then jump across the chandeliers.

I think that's it in terms of layout...A lot to take in I know, but just try going through the routes mentioned above several times and soon you'll have it memorized! (Feel free to add additional notes on this, I'm sure my routes aren't optimal.)

General tips:
- Never have more than 3 things at the same time, this will really just do more harm than good. (Unless a task is really close.) If you need to carry more than 3 things for distant tasks, you're probably behind schedule anyway. (Or RNG decided to give you 3 drinks at once...)

- Restart/Die instead of talking again when you fail, this will consistently start with delivering a box from the Captain's Room to the Kitchen rather than a random one, and health pickups will be back.

- Use the bike most of the time. The bike negates the "stumble" when you fall. Use Time Hat whenever there's a section where you climb a lot. (Or at the chandeliers.)

- Use a dive instead of a double jump when possible, if you Dive Cancel near a wall you can climb up it.

Or just use a mod to cheese it.

All of the above also applies to the normal Ship Shape mission, of course.
(Also please don't quote this entire thing when responding kthanks.)

Time Hat is much more useful than I thought, use it at climbing sections or others where the bike isn't faster than walking. (Also I reached 36...So close!)

Time Stop is a godsend and I spammed that sucker exclusively past like 25 tasks. For others not in the know: one thing I noticed was that picking up tasks halted it early but dropping off tasks didn't. Example: picking up a trio of drink trays one the pool deck would end time stop early, but time stop would continue through dropping them off on the tables up top. Going through doors, getting damaged, and wobbling into walls also ended time stop early. (I hate that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wobble mechanic with a passion.) But in a nutshell: always wait until AFTER picking up tasks or going through doors to use time stop or else all you get out of it is a lengthy cooldown.

And just to reiterate the original post because it's so important, approach the gardens from the pool deck door and work your way down. The garden never fails to generate a crap-ton of laundry and you can take gardens -> yellow deck -> power room -> laundry to drop it all off and clear out the yellow deck tasks (battery and tool kit if you're lucky) on the way.

40 tasks without missing one was a nightmare, but it forces you to really learn and perfect routes. 70 tasks was almost easy in comparison because I could skip the lobby. /shudder
