How do I actually play Workshop Mods?

So I'm new to this, can anyone walk me through how to play workshop mods and point out which step I'm missing or what I do next?

First I went into the Workshop and Subscribed to various mods which I liked the looks of. It seems like those mods were then instantly downloaded as I saw items being downloaded at the bottom of the screen. So what do I do now to play those mods or turn them on? When I go into the game it plays like normal and I don't notice any changes.

I looked around in the Mail Room but I didn't see anything new, what do I do there?

Ok, do you mean the one on the ship who is stuck in a jar? I tried talking to him and he just talks about his map badge like usual.

No, I'm talking about a different room. There's a room you can access that's up the yellow slide. To go in that room, you have to have the ice hat. Then, you are able to play custom maps.

Ah ok, so right now I think my mods aren't working because my mail room is just like normal, where the only thing inside it is the Time Rift. So where I do get the mods working I'll go into the mail room and I'll find someone new in there.

Do you perhaps know how I'm supposed to get mods to turn on after I download them?

do you have the steam version of hat in time becuse that rift was moved a few updates ago

mods don't work on mac (if i remember right)

Well dang that's stupid XD

They should have mentioned that in the posts talking about Mods, thanks for your help. I guess that makes it impossible for Mac players to get all the gambling rewards, that's a very poor mechanic design.

I went to the mailroom with my ice hat and talked to mafia guy.....the mod screen appeared and takes me to steam workshop to select mods......I have already subscribed to a few and they are not showing in my mailroom mod list.....I can't figure out how to activate them

you have to do it at the main menu to enable non level mods (becuse some crash your game if you activate them in a level from the menu)
