A Hat in Time

Is the DLC required to 100% the game?
I've gotten every time piece (40), every "memory" photo piece thing and I'm pretty sure I've collected all relics (can't seem to find any more for a good while, and can't seem to find any more stands to put them on on the ship) and done both the "yes" and "no" thing at the end of the game with Hat Kid looking out the window (it seemed to change nothing).
My save's at 98%. I can't think of anything else I've missed besides not owning every random cosmetic paint/hat.

I think so, its a bug rn if you don't have the DLC and should be fixed in the next patch

Ah nice to know, thanks!

EDIT: 100%ing doesn't change the ending does it?
I remember seeing grown up Hat Kid, but my memory's vague, was that maybe from one of the alpha/beta builds?

The Hat Adult angle was completely dropped; the ending as it is is the only ending.

I think the game is a bit better for it, although that's a discussion for another thread, probs.

100% does not change the ending, to the best of my knowledge. The thing you're talking about is from the alpha/beta, and is a long-scrapped concept. There is at least one recreation on the Workshop though.

To clarify, you don't need the DLC to 100% -- completing content in the DLC pushes it past 100%

actually, when you purchase the DLC your progress is set back to 80%, it think.
Death Wish contracts are what push your progress past 100%, up to 110%.
At least that's how it was whenever the DLC first came out.
