Plus get all the time rifts.
I already have all 46 time pieces.
I also have built all the relics.
Still. A hat in Time's story doesn't seem like it put much importance into Hat Kid's destination when compared to the fiasco that surounds the fallout of Hat Kid's Time Power Mcguffins falling into the hands of a (mostly) oblivious populous(placing importance into how it's about the adventure than the destination), so I'm not sure why there needs to be a resolution on the levels of seeing hat kid reach her home.
I mean. It's not like Hat Kid was caught up in a rebellion she's not that invested in, grows to care for the rebels fighting the Mafia along the way, and has to get to her original destination to find some CEO of Time that'll help finally put a cork into the pecking Mafia.
_____
Word I forgot to use is Clifhangar. I don't think a clifhanger suits the Narrative A hat in Time is going for. 'course, I'm not the script writer. So who knows what craziness A hat in Time's story actually is.
Does the game ever state that she actually makes it back?
The "you might not make it all the way home" suggests that she might not have made it.
She did sink the "S.S. literally can't sink".
She also stared in several movies.
And she saved the Alpine area from a disease.
She saved Mafia Town from the lava.
If dialogue and storybooks are anything to go by, the two birds' movies are a dime a dozen and nobody really likes them.
She may have brought the disease with her from the pre-roam act. If not, I'll give you that.
The only reason it became lava was because she ticked MG off by being "too soft" after the Mafia Boss was defeated. If not for HK, MG would still be fighting the Mafias and getting nowhere, so wouldn't ever get to the point of turning the island into lava.
But overall, she didn't make the world actually any different. Even though she stopped the disease, it just returned that region back to its normal state. The two birds are still hashing it out year after year.
The ship isn't technically a region of the world. Snatcher is still doing Snatcher things. Mafias still rule Mafia Town. The world didn't change because of Hat Kid - her actions simply made things more normal, except for the ship incident...but again, she caused the crash but saved everyone, and if the seals would have caused it instead that wouldn't have been her fault.
Doesn't matter. Same outcome.
