As for toughest level with bonuses, probably has to be 10 seconds until self destruct, I already dread having to replay that level, nevermind actually achieving the bonus tasks.
I'm dreading the Boss rushes now. I can't imagine them being easier than what I have done for now. Can anybody here who 100% the whole Death Wish map comment on that?
The Boss rushes aren't that bad, they have checkpoints so if you die you can restart at the boss who killed you, up to three times, also those checkpoints save your health, so don't go into a boss fight with 1 health and then die, you will regret it.
Spoiler warning: The 2nd Boss rush actually makes it easier for you, as all not all of them the bosses have reduced health, you normally need to hit Mustache Girl five times to initiate her next phase in the Hyper Zone. In the 2nd Boss rush you only need to hit her three times, what this means is that you'll defeat the bosses faster and don't have to avoid as many attacks as you normally would, which helps with not getting hit as health pons are very limited.
Btw, I just cleared the birdhouse challange. Killing the 6 mafias took me quite a while.
Also Death Wish is not as hard as you might think it is (although I did 100% Death Wish myself and now that I look back, it feels like every contract is easy so I don't know if this statement is credible).
Everyone has their own personal nightmare level I guess.
Most of the bosses are ok, but sometimes the conductor/Dj. Grooves land the disco ball on the stage or under the floor, forcing you to fail, but it doesn’t take much to get back to them.
Mustache girl is a different story, there’s multiple attacks she has where she goes out of bounds (teleport, or the floor burst attack), and it happens a LOT more often than you think. But the real salt in the wound is that if you fail to hit her at EVERY opportunity, you have to do every other boss without missing over again
Sorry that this is so long.
*edit: there are checkpoints, so you can die to restart a boss’s “no miss” run, but if the conductor/ Dj. Grooves go under the floor, you have to start the death wish over from the very start.*
Not just one-hit hero, but no hat abilities too! No heckin thanks.
As for OP, imo the two hardest challenges for me were one hit hero on Mafia Boss Ex, and as people have said, one hit hero on Ten Seconds to Self Destruct, and also most of the speedruns for the precision, the Well one especially because you have maybe a second to spare on a PERFECT run.
There are also three DW levels I refuse to do without P and T:
Wound Up Windmill
Deep Sea Rift Collapse
and
Cruisin' for a Bruisin'
The latter of which I might complete for real someday but the other two I have permanently given up on.
Regardless, remember that there is NO shame in using Peace and Tranquility, and you can get the full completion achievement with it if you must. I reccommend you P and T any levels you're truly stuck on and go back and do them legit later if you want to. That's what I did.
The most important thing is that it's supposed to be fun, so remember that!
