10 seconds until self-destruct
How DA ♥♥♥♥ I complete this with no hat abilities and the one hit hero badge?

update: I already conclude this, thanks for the help.

Lots of skill and patience
memorize the patterns of projectiles and accept there's a bit of RNG involved with how the missles move (my most deaths)
took me 110 tries
Honestly the more I do the no-hat challenges, the more I see the hats as almost pointless haha

Took me 357 tries. Probably more than 3 hours only on this. If i had to give you an advice, keep diving whenever you can to move quicker, avoid the conductor badges as their collection will slow you down, head for the opposite part of the first rocket launched in the falling platform section and pray that you hit nothing during the last phase.

Also DO NOT equip the ability hat's. I beat the contract but because I had the sprint hat on the 1 hit run didn't count I am furious right now. And I havn't been able to beat it again due the stupid rng rockets that screw you over everytime.

Did they patch the rockets? The rockets consistently miss me by crashing into the floor if I move in a zig zag pattern. The two huge problems are the ridiculous lava pillar hitboxes that hit you while you're on a platform and are hard to see when they're behind you and the final segment that might as well be luck to be able to get to the second row without getting hit by the lava pillars and cannons. Took me over 300 tries, most of them being the lava pillar segments. I could consistently do the rockets 70% of the time but the lava pillars account for the majority of my deaths.

Also I just barely beat it, grabbing the last time extender at like 20 milliseconds, she had already finished saying goodbye.

Yeah that would've helped a bit. You still can't see the bomb in the pnultimate segment though. So many times I instantly die from that the moment I jump back. And wow, my fingers are still sore a day later (I played on a keyboard) as if someone had bent it.

You might need more practice, but you don't need to do BOTH bonuses at the same time.

Unless, of course, you wanna know how it feels to be SimpleFlips.

Did both bonuses at once, can confirm, the feeling is mixed

I saw someone do it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j50oGAQg85o
What I find interesting is that even the best speedrunners seem to get the post puzzle time extender at around the same time I do (9-10seconds). I'm not sure why but almost everyone seem to waste more time than is necessary by jumping on all 3 fire spinning platforms (not talking about this video of course, because the token is on the second one) when you can just dash to the last hook and then swing to the last one. Also, they almost always use up more time on the puzzle than me, which again I'm not sure if they patched the rockets to make more predictable.

This level is REALLY tight on movement and unforgiving to mistakes. Such is why you'll pretty much see everyone arrive at a place at the same time give or take a second. It comes down to, even if you find the perfect path, to just maximizing it. I never altered my path from just a regular one to doing both bonuses at once, and yet I still came out around the same amount of time spent.

For comparison here is my own run of both objectives in 1 run. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgXdfetiL5E

I'm not a speed runner by any means though and I rarely am able to do the chain dash boosts so many of them are able to do so I usually expect myself to be a bit slower than the runs on I see on youtube (which can be seen by the fact that most people seem to be able to get to the end of the level with around 3 seconds left while I just barely made it by milliseconds). Yet most of them use up a lot of time on the hooks and the rocket puzzle part than I usually do for some reason. I admit there might be some RNG in there though. While most of the time I'm safe just zig zagging around and only jumping for the final panel, sometimes I'm not despite doing the exact same thing.

That bomb & the cannon ball that flies by it are the 2 worst things in the level to me. 3rd are the RNG missiles.
I agree. Cannons are the devil. I wish they were like the Mario ones where they didn't fire if you were right in front of them lol.
