Report a translation problem
Steam already comes with the drivers nowadays. I never had to install anything (Although I do use it wireless, no idea how V2 controllers and having it connected via USB affects this).
Oh damn! So it's a common issue then! I had this problem since FOREVER! Thank you for the solution (I kinda forgot to look for a solution to begin with).

I played the game with a Logitech F710 before switching to a Dualshock 4, and with the Logitech controller the triggers work on a toggle basis: tap once to start the dash, tap a second time to stop it. I don't think the PS4 version had this problem either despite using the same controller.

I see where I went wrong. I was looking in the Big Picture settings in general. Didn't realise this is something you change game by game.
Once i deactivated PS Controlelr support in the General Controller configuration within steam, i got DS 4 prompts and everything.
I have the DS 4 V2
