IDP.ALEXA.51?
So, I installed the DLC, the update, the whole shabang, I run the game, and what do I see? AVG stopping it because it told me it had detected IDP.ALEXA.51. I've been googling around and seeing some conflicting stuff about it. False flag, or trojan horse. Anyone else getting this?

Did you download it from the Steam? or on a website?

Not to mention, there is a chance that you might have downloaded a mod that contains that flag.
Now, alot of people have had their mods deleted, the Mailman gone, and losing their umbrella, so that might be a cause.

Nope, downloaded from steam, nope, didn't download a mod, nothing like that.

Wait, maybe your Anti Virus is just mistaken?
A big time company wouldn't get away woth putting a virus into their game.
Maybe your antivirus is crappy?

Like, yeah, sure, a big time company wouldn't get away with that. But a small dev like GearsForBreakfast? Who knows what that one dude sitting in the corner might add in?
I dunno, I just wanna hear if anyone else has had it. If they have, then, good, I'm not alone. Nothing to panic about. If not... Well, time to rev up that antivirus scan.

Im using Kaspersky and it didnt sound off. @Horrordar why dont you upload the file to virustotal and see what it says

AVG's notorious for barfing up false flags for everything, it's why I stopped using it.

Same happened to me, using Avast. I added an exception. To be sure I uploaded the exe file to totalvirus and it's totally clean.
Horrordar Sep 13, 2018 @ 12:40pm
Alright, well, I looked over it with Virustotal as well, and it showed nothing. Cheers for the suggestions! I'd love to drop AVG and swap it for avast, but last time I did that, it started to hog my processing. Every webpage took like half a second longer to load, it was like the TSA.
Also throwing this out there so that people who look for this particular issue in the future can find it, be assured that it's nothing. I've had plenty of times where I've looked about and found nothing on an issue, terrible feeling.

@Horrordar, I had Avast and it was pretty mediocre at doing its job (The cherry on top, while my Firefox browser had absolutely no extension/plugin Avast still told me that there was one shady plugin installed on my Firefox somehow), I recommend you to download Bitdefender, Malwarebytes or Karpersky instead, don't touch Avast or AVG.
