It not only isn't gonna have it, the Online Co-op thing can't be done. It doens't fit into the game ion ANY way possible.
Because maybe we'd want to play co-op with friends that live in other states?
Obviously, but they sure made it sound like it was online. Splitscreen is useless for the vast majority of people, and there's a reason why very few games use it any more ESPECIALLY on PC, this was probably done just to cash cow in on the Switch port.
Yeah, I thought that was obvious, but MissDreamer doesn't seem to be the brightest crayon in the box lmao. Well said.
No, it's not, it's a powerful selling point or the entire game's point in a lot of games. Portal 2 is an exception and still a terrible example because you can't do the main campaign in COOP, just a short side campaign.
Many games have it added due to demand in sequels, i.e. Sniper Elite, Far Cry, and Styx, and there have been many crowdfunded games that have it built into the experience, like Hover and Divinity Original Sin 1 and 2.
A Hat in Time is mostly perfect for me, but I was hoping it'd finally be the old school platform adventure that I could play with my brother in a pethetic era where "COOP" usually means being on the same Overwatch team (lol..) or playing a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ MMOs with zero cooperative interaction.
Instead, we got the next best ♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing on PC, split ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ screen for some reason.
Yeah, I'll use Parsec, but it's still gonna chop my screen in half and it's still not optimal. This is definitely a failure in my book especially since I know they deviated personal and funds for the Switch port and this split-screen feature seems made for the SWITCH PORT and is probably only being given to us to checkbox the Kickstarter promise.
Wish they had put more effort into COOP instead of backtracking on all their sassy refusals of a Switch point and throwing their efforts there instead.
Should online multiplayer have been implemented, this game could very likely have gotten more people streaming it on Twitch or Youtube.
Basically this. Splitscreen is just not a PC thing, which is why I'm very sure it was done entirely with their upcoming Switch port in mind.
Or regular LAN, lol.
