But that only addresses non-Galaxy users... what about Galaxy users where beta update channels exist just like Steam, as well as pushing updates direct without interaction from GOG (that normally has to package the offline installers)?
Probably wait n see when the DLC comes out and see if they update the gog ver.
Fully agree with the article and 100% see their point so i cannot blame nor the developers nor GoG for working this way, but it never does well for the GoG reputation :P
But for most of the newer tiltes I've bought on GOG, they've been really solid with releases... only a few you gotta kinda poke the developers here and there because their focus is Steam and rightfully so because that's where the numbers are, but... it still goes back to that sense of ownership for me
I also exclusively use Galaxy and quite often patches come within hours of the Steam updates because they can push those direct without GOG having to package the patches and installers
It's best to wait until Sep 13 when the dlc came out.
As far as I know, when they update the Galaxy version, that is also when GoG patch team receives the files and they start working on a patch installer. My guess is GoG doesn't have a process to delay making patch installers, so the developers basically have to delay it themselves.
