As for your issue, I don't think the game has any option for binding the keys. It might come at a later update though, who knows. Your best options are to practice or use a controller.
I feel like you may have different keyboard controls if you love them. The fact that I have to use the mouse to properly angle the camera, use the space bar to jump, use the control to do a triple jump and then use the space bar again to make use I don't slide off a platform, while having to use the ASDW keys becuase if I use the arrow keys with the control key it exits out of the game, all while still having to pull off the maneuver in the game, makes me think that we definitely don't have the same keyboard controls.
Either that, or you're a masochist lol
No, it's the same layout. I have my pinky on the control key, my thumb on the spacebar, and my other three middle fingers on a, w, and d. It's quite simple for me but everyone is different.
That sounds like a good start, thanks
Not the ones I've played, but even then a good game will give the player the option to pick controls themselves on a keyboard instead of keeping everything hunched up in random spots along the far left edges of the keys.
But another PC standard is also rebinding controls. :<
If you really dislike the controls, you can always use third party programs. Something like if you press F, it simulates pressing shift on your keyboard, and ♥♥♥♥ like that.
I'd just like the developers to consider implimenting it into a future update.
Yeah. The more options, the better.

There, open the keyboard.ini
It's a bit confusing, but I'll explain it the best way I can. Each +Button has a designated number. 1-257. If you want to bind the keys, You have to go to the [binds] category, where you designate each number to what key you want to bind it to. Say, I want to change my attack key to 'x'.
I'd find the designated number for x.
+Button = 88
Name = "X"
Color = "Grey"
Icon = "Keyboard"
Then I would find the attack bind.
+Bind = Hat_Player_Attack
ButtonID = 1
I would then replace the number '1' with '88' to designate my attack button as 'x'.
I hope this is a temporary solution. Make sure to right click the .ini, og to properties, and make it 'Read Only' when you're done. Also make sure to uncheck 'Read Only' when editing the .ini again.
I find it kinda weird. It's like, they have it coded, but they haven't implemented it yet.
Thanks a ton! I'll try to follow those instructions the best I can and fix the controls to my liking. And yea, I figure if there's some drawn out way a player could change the controls you'd think the developers would be able to put in an easier system on the menu settings. Oh well, hopfully they will in the future so more potential players can enjoy the game!
But when I tried it a while ago, the setting was bugged and didn't register button presses for assigning. So I had to directly edit the config files anyway. :P
I don't know if that has been fixed.
Also learn how to play on ASDW. It will make your life a lot of easier.
That is literally the laziest response to this sort of situation. That'd be like if I sold someone a broken house appliance and told them that, rather than saling a quality brand product, they should just learn how to fix it each time it breaks down themselves. Eventually you're going to get people who complain and if you can't come up with a real explanation for why your product is failing to meet the demands of consumers, you're just going to lose business.
So how about you "git gud" and come up with a real response XD
