Sticker Markers in levels?

Just a quick question. I still haven't figured out what the little yellow marks with stickers are. Anyone care to explain how these work? I'm seeing some on some mod levels with modded stickers, and others in main levels with vanilla stickers.

How do these work, and what do they represent?

I haven't seen them personally, but from what I can tell, I believe they are like a comments system, like someone leaves one behind after they complete a challenge in a level. I don't know how to place them however, but I've seen a lot of posts covering this topic, so maybe check one of them out.

If you join a level while on the internet, you can see them. You make one by opening the chat wheel and selecting a sticker, it’ll show up as those yellow circles for other players, but it won’t show your own to you. But it’s just a way of players communicating with giving hints, warnings, secrets, or just whatever.
