Dead bird studio elevator?
When playing dead bird studio act 6, once part 2 of the stage loads in inside of the elevator, my fps tanks and my computer starts stuttering. this is not a performance issue, and my cpu, gpu, and ram do not go up during this. without a fix the game is unplayable.

Are you on the modding beta version of the game?
CR48 Jan 6, 2018 @ 8:15pm
it does in both versions, i got trough that part twice with different versions of the game and it's the worst the game has ever run, until it reaches your destination it runs 5fps at best, no other part of the game does this

I went back to the elevators, but I've had no dip in fps whatsoever.

If it's not a performance issue, then what would this be?

Maybe an AMD problem? shader compilers, corrupted data? no idea.

If everyone who does have issues could report what GPU and driver they have installed, it could help see if that's a reason behind this happening. I'd suggest verifying the game files integrity, making sure the GPU drivers are up to date, and then doing a reinstallation of the game if that's not too much to ask (Doing each one at a time to see if they may fix the issue).

I am using a GTX 1080 so I can't help in regards to AMD drivers. All settings maxed out.

To verify files:
Right click the game > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files

This happened to me as well, I just waited it out and eventually the elevator reached its destination and it ran like normal again. I also have an AMD card, specifically an r9 390

thank you mate.

Funny, this must be an AMD thing -- it happened to me too (although it wasn't nearly as severe as you described).

Likewise happened to me on an R9 380x. Other games have had weird problems specific to the R9 300s, so I wouldn't be surprised if this is another one of those cases.

I recall this being an issue even at the launch of the game, I think.

I experienced this problem too, I'm running a RX 480.

i have gtx 1070 and my fps dropped dramatically in yellow colors (30-59fps). the dip stopped (have 144 fps) when the elevator stopped as well

so it's not just you.

If you're using a GTX graphics card and also getting this, then it could mean that the problem is something else entirely. A certain video setting entirely perhaps. Should we then need you all to list the settings you have your games under?

New player and this is happening for me too. I also have an AMD Radeon of some sort, not sure how to get the other info you're requesting.

This also happened to me and I also have AMD
I think we can assume this is an AMD-only thing
