Managed to boost my FPS by quite a lot with this thing.
It also feels a bit more right to play the game that way too, given it's Gamecube/PS2 aesthetic.
Now if you have only 4 gb of ram you could turn off windows features, turn on gaming mod, if you have a wired controller use it. Since it will have better response time vs a Bluetooth controller.
Lastly, if your computer is running low on memory move files like steam games to a external hard drive if possible. This will help give you more read memory to run the game.
If your using a integrated GPU like what Intel provides. Your not gonna have a very stable performance.
I personally bought the game again for my switch for the same reason your in. If you have a switch the $19 for game plus all dlc felt good. ( I got it at that price during the eShop sale)
If you have a sibling or friend. The switch port has local CO Op which you might like.sinve the port runs at 30 fps 1280p portable.
