A Hat in Time
Short game?
I find it odd you call this game short I guess 20 hours to complete if your good
10 if you just do main mission. (got 20 hours for 70%)
Short game to me be like 3 to 4 hours. It medium length I guess games wise.

It's on the short side. It took me 10 hours to beat and 14 to 100%, and I felt like I was taking my time. But if you're able to get 20 hours out of it, more power to you!

To be fair I was just jumping on the burger while listing to the train theme for part of it.

You're not supposed to admit a game took you 21 hours on the internet. You're supposed to say you beat it just under 2 hours without deaths. For good measure, you should also say the parts other people say are the hardest are actually the easiest.
lol, btw all achievement took me ages to get

Doesn't the hard mode badge delete your save if you die too :P
I feel that it was a bit too easy to get all the achievements.

Most achievements are done with your 100% progress, but some like Secret Intruder or No Time to Explain are nearly 0% to pull off blindly and will take some (a lot of) your time to practice them.

took me about 13 hours, but the whole time it felt like the game wasn't wasting my time with nonsense.

Correction: it is actually 18 hours. I used 3 hours to play mods

I think the game feels short because chapter 3-5 wraps up the story pretty abruptly.

You and some other people who say that the game's short forget this game was created by an indie company, where most of the staff just ran a TF2 server I think. It's actually amazing in itself the game lasts this long, AND with all the content they cut. They've even added modding support (beta) and also free DLC planned within the next few months. All from an indie company, from kickstarter. It's an amazing feat, and people who say the game's short obviously don't know much about the people who made it. Also yeah, the game does end kind of abruptly

The ending might of been, sudden, and Mustache Girl just completely vanishes from the game after the 1st boss, only showing up again at the end. But given how this is an Indie game that came off as a AAA title to me is very impressive. I personally consider this my favorite platformer next to the original Crash Trilogy.

Compared to games like Crash Bandicoot 1 & 2, Super Mario 3D world, Psychonauts, and a bunch other 3D platformers, it's a relatively short game.

But those games are made by bigger groups, that probably worked in the same building and not scattered across the world. Along with that, nintendo and I'm pretty sure the company that made crash (idk about psycho), are NOT indie companies.

Crash Bandicoot and Psychonauts were both made by studios in their infancies, and not really much bigger than Gears for Breakfast. Both studios also didn't have the luxury of the far more modern and polished game engine back then.

And being an indie studio doesn't really mean much as far as developer capability is concerned.

Ultimately, A Hat in Timeis a short game, but a good game. The latter point is far more important than the former.
