How do you get default hats when mods are installed?

My brewing hat and ice hat were just in my inventory by default with the flairs the mods added.

How do I get the default versions of those hats now? I don't have the option to stitch them from yarn; the flair versions added by the mod are the only ones available to me.

I've tried uninstalling the mods, but it just leaves those mod hats in my inventory.

you need to use the new game plus mod to unlock all hats to get the hats which glitched out due to mods

Ah, shoot. I already have Sort My Inventory, and I don't want to unlock absolutely everything. I guess I'll just delete my file and restart and not futz with mods that add hats and such until I've gotten all the hats already.

modding is really ♥♥♥♥♥ in this game
the turn off all mods / unsubscribe from all mods in workshop buttons actually do what they say they do
trying to turn off individual mods always leads to baffling game crashes and the mod hats that add slots to inventory / overwrite default skins just never going away -_-
