Stuck in Queen Vanessa's Manor
So as I left the basement she began chasing me. In panic, I circled around her and ran for the door she came from and went into this room as the screenshot shows:

And I found myself stuck, unable to leave -- both the door I came from and a set of doors facing camera were locked dead. I tried ghost vision and saw some unintelligible doodle on the walls, but nowhere to leave.

I checked some youtuber's video later and it seems like the "official" way to progress is, during her first appearance, run for the door to your right, get the key from the shelf and then go for the room I was in and unlock the set of two doors. I understand that but I am still not sure whether the fact I wasn't able to leave only happened to me or is it a bug that would apply to other people.

p.s. the screenshot is deliberate. because it makes the mansion even more spooky!

edit: p.s.s. I was supposed to post this on technical support, but somehow forgot. My apologies.

Since the game "thinks" that you have to escape into the kitchen first (because there's actually not any other way when she appears), I'd say that you did an unintentional sequence break that interfered with the actual script.
In short: Yeah, that's a bug.

Yeah, so perhaps the team should have done something to prevent players from accessing the room before they acquire the key or allow them to leave -- but I guess my scenario isn't common anyway.

They probably will if a couple more people report it as a bug in the pinned thread. It's probably not that hard to add an invisible wall that goes away after you got the key.

Yeah, I'm stuck right now with this problem. Glad to know I'm not missing something and that the game just bugged on me.

you could've just reported it in another thread instead of necroing

This bug just happened to me and this thread in the first thing to come up when googling to find if it was a bug or not.

It's really easy to do and really not obvious it's a bug until you waste 5 minutes of your life listening to Vanessa taunt you.

People get upset about "necroing" a thread, as though that was some sort of thing. It's not. If an issue is still an issue, the original thread with all the original reports is actually the preferred method of reporting for QA. Otherwise, you have multiple issues opened, and no one gets the full story.
