*please* make different languages OPTIONAL ?
Not only does this game force-install localized dialogue in almost a dozen languages I'll never turn on, it also has several gigabytes worth of text-to-speech data on top of that.

Why is downloading this mandatory?

In total there's ~30 GB or more of alternate languages that I can do with out, which removing reduces the game's install to around 82 GB (still big, but not overly ridiculous). I still don't understand why games like this and Uncharted have these auto-downloading.

Steam can detect your region and install language packs accordingly. If for some reason Nixxes doesn't want to go that route, there's always the option of treating each language as individual DLC components for the game. It's an astounding level of bloat as it stands.

No one really cares. SSDs are dirt cheap nowadays.

you can't just delete all language files you don't need?

This shouldn't be necessary, and even if I do they download themselves again with every patch that is released. I've edited the game's manifest file which might avoid that, but it seems like Steam is enforcing file validation when a game patches now.

When every "AAA" game is averaging over 100GB in size now, they quickly eat up space on your disks. What I'm pointing out is if they'd just been a bit smarter about how they distribute files it wouldn't NEED to be so gigantic, and probably neither would half the other games that are north of 100GB in size.

Also feel sorry for anyone who is bandwidth capped and had to download 30GB of stuff they don't need.

Install the game, play the game, remove the game. It's really that easy.
