The Last of Us™ Part II Remastered

Game will freeze for 5-20 seconds & film grain seems to be bugged.
SPECS: RTX 4070, R5800X3D, 32GB Ram on NVME.

I've seen some posts about this same issue of freezing, mainly when you move to a different mission/area. I've tried turning off frame generation, which seemed to work a little but then it continued to freeze. Turned off/on different settings and it still seems to continue to do it. The game is almost unplayable when it's doing this. Other than that, it plays great at 4k 60-80FPS on very high settings with DLSS off & frame gen on. (DLSS looks almost TOO sharp when turned on and almost looks like a sharpening filter, decided to turn it off.)

The film grain in certain parts seems to be lower quality and/or just looks terrible, but on the console version it's perfect.

Anyone seem to find an solution to the freezing at all?

Same issue here. Turning off framegen helped for a bit like you say but then it started doing it again. Pauses for a very long time at times. 4090/gen5 nvme.

try my settings :

DLSS - Quality
Frame Gen - On
Chromatic Abberation - 5
Lens Dirt - 5
Motion Blur - Off
Grain - 5
DLSS Sharpening - 0
Reflex - On

In terms of stutters, it is crucial to leave CPU headroom. check ur fps at highest settings but with dlss ultra perf or perf to see what ur CPU can push at most. then lock ur fps to 80% of that number. I have a 13700K and got 80-90 on my CPU so locked my game to 116 with FG so internally CPU is only doing 58fps and a ton of headroom is left for shader compilation and loadings.

Run the game on 1440p/Highest Quality Settings/ DLSS Quality / FQ. Get between 100 and 200 fps on my RTX4070ti Super and 7600x.

Noticed the GPU utilization is not consistent but overall performance is fine.

But as soon I enter a new area the game freezes or stutters for a few seconds and returns back to normal. This needs to get fixed as soon as possible.
