Chapter 2 - Crow Puzzle
So i've read that picking the correct door would give a reward, in form of a flower.

- But no matter what i do, i cant pick the right door. Ive saved right before talking to the dolls, and loaded it 20 times to pick either the same door 10 times or doing opposite of what door its telling etc.. Is this a bug or could someone give me a clue how to obtain "The cake is a lie" ?

Thx in advance :)

To get the reward I talked to the doll on the left and chose the question "Which door would the other doll tell me through" or something like that and I chose the door that wasn't highlighted.

The idea is to pick the question that will 100% force the dolls into pointing out the right or wrong door for you, and by asking the question Frankokomando mentioned, they will always point out the wrong door. This is because the lie of a truth is a lie, and the truth of a lie is a lie, so no matter what, the wrong door will be highlighted. If you ask any of the other questions, you still won't be able to tell if the door they highlighted is the right or wrong one, so the game will punish you for asking a question that didn't point out the right/wrong door for certain, which results in both doors being wrong.

FWIW, this is a classic logic puzzle structure which exists in both PC (knights vs. knaves) and racist (natives versus missionaries) version and goes back ages, and is also found, e.g., in Raymond Smullyan's books. One group always lies, the other always tells the truth, but you don't know who's who...

Man I don't get this puzzle and espesially this sentence: lie of a truth is a lie, and the truth of a lie is a lie. Maybe tell some more explanation or better give some example. I understand this: truth of a lie is a lie, because doll that always lie can't say the truth. But lie of a truth is a lie - such can not even happen:cwat: because doll that always tell the truth can't lie. So if for example by default you pick the doll that always telling the truth and truth of a truth is a truth, then this question did not tell me anything about what door to chose.

Wow after thinking about those dolls more i understand even less:tgrin: what this question can actually tell me: Which door would the other doll tell me through? Look if i asking them without knowing do i ask lier or not?! So i need to imagine for example that first i ask doll that always telling a truth and that doll point me at a random door, yeah ok, but how the ♥♥♥♥ could i know if the second doll will really point at this door and even more how the ♥♥♥♥ that doll (which i asking now) could know at what door other doll would tell me to go:lol:
Even if they know who the lier and whos not, this question does not answer me anything, those b!tches just pointing me at a random door :claugh: and they did not even know by themself if they point it right or wrong ahahahaaaaaaaaaa

Ok sorry, now serious as i understand from this topic they always poining to the wrong door (and you need to choose the other one) but i don't understand why:wtf:
nicki May 29, 2019 @ 5:49pm
Wait maybe i get it.... if I asking (first) a liar: Which door would the other doll tell me through? he point at a random door (he don't need to know at what door the other dool would really point) but as he always telling the lie - so i need automaticly chose other door :trophy: and same again if i asking (first) that one who telling the true: Which door would the other doll tell me through? then he point at a random door (he don't need to know at what door the other dool could really point me) but as he always telling the truth........ but that does not tell me anything(why i need to chose other door) :steamfacepalm:
nicki May 29, 2019 @ 8:27pm
Actually i think i get it now and they need to know or better to say they defenetly know at what door the other dool would really point me: and as a lier doll don't want me to get to reward door so it will lie and show wrong door that true doll will point me (so imagine if you asking lier first you need to choose other door that lier said), same imagine if you ask the truth doll then it will point me at the door that lier would point me (and it will show the true door on which lier will point me) and that is why need to chose other door :tdealwithit:

Good lord. You can edit posts, you know.

But the logic is as follows:

You ask the doll which door the other doll would select. If the doll is telling the truth, then it'll pick the wrong door, because that's the one the liar would have picked.

If the doll is lying, then it will still pick the wrong door, because the other doll can only tell the truth, and as such the lying doll would have to select the opposite.
