Bathus Citadel Floor 5-6 Puzzle
Am I a smoothbrain or is the puzzle on Bathus Citadel broken? I can't seem to progress and there is no cutscene to show that the one platform is spazzing out. I can't go the the left side under the platform and when I go to the room with the cologne nothing happens.

No, you're not a smoothbrain. Almost everyone gets stuck here. I've been on it for a day or two now, even restarted the dungeon several times because I thought it broke. It's not a very well designed environmental puzzle. The design choice is basically the equivalent of giving players a puzzle to solve, then hiding half the pieces and not telling the player there are other pieces so as they put the pieces together one by one they reach a point that they get stuck and think something broke or bugged because they're missing pieces. Tales games are full of gimmicks like that because the developers aren't willing to put in the actual work. That's noticeable in the AI too, rather than program somewhat competent AI, they just fill the combat with Cheap gimmicks like OP status effects, stun-lock, HP sponges, and overwhelm the player with sheer numbers to give the AI a leg up in battle. Also known as Artificial Difficulty which is also known as lazy game design.

But in regards to getting through Bathus Citadel, I just found this video earlier that I'm going to use when I play later to get through this hot mess. Hopefully it gets you through it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-datBfU3ys Good luck!

In the room on... I think it was 4F? 2 side-by-side rooms, and the left starts with 3 of those left-right sliding blocks, and the one in the back can't move, one in the middle can go into the right room?

Go back there, and from the side that leads to the busted platform, slide the middle blocks left. This should cause a message about a door or such, and on the floor up where there was empty void should now be platforms letting you advance.

I just followed the video you linked. I must've not moved one block on floor 3 for the puzzle to work in floor 5.
ayy lmao didn't move red beam all the way to right so door didn't open.

You're right, but even though I'm generally pretty good at puzzles in games in general, sometimes I get hung up on something random because I missed something without realizing it, or missed some obvious clue. This particular puzzle isn't very difficult (I think it took me 10m or so to remember what to do) but sometimes that's just how it is.
I cant clear this. So ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mad
I literally just stumbled around the Citadel last night moving blocks until the entire puzzle worked out. I can't tell if it was because I was half asleep from work and ready for bed or not but the puzzle seemed pretty poorly laid out. Some of those blocks really didn't feel like they corresponded to the doors they opened. If I remember right from last night though the critical block that I missed was on the 3F in the room right next to the room you arrive in when you first get to that floor.
I missed 1 thing, THERES AN OPEN DOOR TO THE LEFT of a 5th floor when the block is pushed all the way left lmao i got stuck here for so long
