Bad story? Play Arise. Most other Tales games are pretty decent. I personally really liked Graces. But I guess it's not for everyone.
I think it's good, personally, and it's got a great cast of characters and some of the best skits in the series.
That said, the only real reason I personally revist Graces is because of the combat. Everything else in the game is done way better by other Tales games.
But that aside, I like the story. It's not some AAA masterpiece, but it's far from bad. Especially since the party interactions are amusing to me.
"Right into next week!"
"I've travelled back in time from next week, please stop throwing monsters at us... ->"
Music is great too.
Yeah the fact the skits and characters are generally light hearted even in the most dramatic bits of the story helps overall.
It's a story about the power of friendship and actually gels a lot better than some of the other games.
You're somehow clueless for quite some time I feel.
Basically, Graces is good, just not as good as what came out right before it.
Due to the game being older now and the hype after that trilogy has somewhat cooled, the game is able to be reappraised for what it is rather than what it could have been.
Combat is good, dualize is mind breaking haha
Good post game as well
