🏆Verdict:

Blood Rose ~ Origin of the Plague is a short and focused ero-horror game that does exactly what it promises. You play as Rosetta Aldridge, a calm and competent agent sent into a plague-infested mansion. The gameplay is simple—fixed-area exploration, basic shooting, and some light puzzles—but it does the job. It's not trying to impress with mechanics; it's just there to support the heroine's slow fall into vulnerability.

What carries the experience is clearly the CGs. Rosetta’s outfit gets progressively destroyed as she takes damage, and if you let her fall, the scenes don’t hold back. It’s all about seeing her go from composed agent to exposed, helpless prey. The atmosphere, the artwork, and the way her condition reflects her situation are where the game shines. Without the erotic content, it would honestly feel empty—but the visual quality makes it worthwhile.

That said, I really appreciated the option for a virgin clear. Being able to actually save her gives meaning to each choice. It won’t change the gameplay much, but it adds a nice personal challenge for players like me who enjoy trying to protect the heroine rather than let her fall. Without that, I probably wouldn’t have enjoyed the game as much. So if you’re here for the CGs, corruption, and a heroine worth breaking—or saving—Blood Rose is a solid little game that does what it came to do, no more, no less.
