and then add more useless trash. best case is we get to speak to the opponents, but the devs are struggling with this game as it is so dont expect progress. P.S - smurfing has been ripe since startsiege tribes, anyone recall HPB and LPB's :loveeyessmiley:

does anyone know what those wheels on the octane are called?
WW5SP, they're legacy wheels. Not paintable or obtainable. Only way to get them (legitemately) is to have the game before Free To Play. Alternatively you can just use bakkesmod but others won't be able to see it (I assume you know this, but others might not).

They are pretty nice wheels though, wish I used them more as they have a pretty neutral look. Wonder if they will make more wheels in this style :mhwgood:

Hopefully some things will improve once they (hopefully) announce the UE5 for RL. Either they will just port it over through update on the game itself, or most likely just make RL2 (and make the previous one either redundant and remove online services or let people keep playing it).

I just wish they (both Epic Games and Psyonix) was more transparent on whether or not RL will get a UE5 port in the foreseeable future. Having to keep waiting and waiting is really making not just me, but other players as well question if they will ever make it into a UE5 game. UE5 will perhaps make it much more playable for less powerful machines and boost performance (as you might have read about the compatibility they are introducing, namely for bigger games that are coming out), but this will probably make them re-imagine customization in a totally new way (I made a response a few pages back, you should totally read it!) that will make car designs so much more unique to each individual player. Perhaps even copy and paste solutions so you can have the same looking car as your favourite content creator or esports player, etc. Probably other QoL changes like better matchmaking etc. Just hope they tell us sooner rather than at the end of the year about this, making other players and myself included really anxious about if they have forgotten about the entire UE5 thing.

I've been thinking of another type of way to play a match that does not involve editing gameplay with one of the available mutators in custom and private games. (In efforts of providing an idea for something new.) It's an idea that does not affect a player's control of their vehicle but rather they're ball play. We all can agree that No one likes encountering a Smurf. And while they're control of the ball have most in awe, it can be frustrating to the point of forfeit. So. The idea is adding randomized goal gates for each team that are not player controllable. A gate that will slam shut randomly destroying any player car directly beneath where it shuts or trapping any player caught within the goal for its randomly timed duration for being shut. It doesn't even necessarily need to be a gate like some garage door it could be a transparent laser force field like of Star Wars Revenge of the Sith.
This could make for a good and interesting game mode!

I have the utmost confidence it would be an epic game mode! I even went as far as attempting to imagine how a match would play out if the vehicle players were equipped with "Portal Guns" like off the game Portal and Portal 2. I would even settle for randomly generated portals to appear that a player or the "game ball" would fall thru and shoot out somewhere on the arena walls or ceiling. Or a boost location that transforms into a portal at random, forcing the player to rethink game progression strategy regularly.
BRING BACK THE Original Ghostbusters themed game mode from before RL was made FTP (free to play)! Where we use vehicle player equipped Proton Guns to force trap the ball into the phantom cyclone ball trapper on either side of the arena. This game mode showed real potential but i have not seen it played outside of the Season it was first introduced to.

For example, more than two times cheaper DLC packs containing two cars at the same time, but the most important one, the skill of individual players.

I doubt we'll get these types of packs like back in the day because of free to play. Rocket League already prices the cosmetics and cars similar to how all other free to play games do.

Sure, playing for fun is still there, but I do encounter a lot of players, who do get into Casual matches just to prepare for Competitive matches. I do get that, it's reasonable to warm-up before attempting to play seriously, but don't you think, there may be an option to choose, if you're queueing for Casual matches, whether you do wanna play casually after a long day or preparing for a competitive gameplay?
It goes without a doubt, that a lot of sadist players will simply decide to queue for casual matches for casual experiences, just so they could dominate the field.. But some of the reasonable players may actually select this, and so they'd get into matches with players, who've selected the same queue - With players, who do lack or don't currently have the competitive mindset?

I do enjoy playing the game, but I sure don't enjoy being matched against players, who're multiple ranks above my own.. But, such is the casual experience.
In a lot of competitive games - Be it Valorant, Counter-Strike.. You do name it;
The developers have simply refused to listen to the playerbase consisted of casual players, and so they do pair up players with each other ASAP, regardless of their skill level, creating a lot of unbalanced matches, while, probably, the overwhelming majority of players would rather wait a few minutes for a balanced match than to queue for a match within a second, where they won't even touch the ball.

Don't think there is much that can be done about Highly skilled Competitive players being matched with lower ranked players in Casual. Unless the person also plays a lot of Casual.. this is just what will happen.

All the Competitive Playlists have different ratings to represent your rank. Casual uses one singular Rating for all Casual playlists. So there's not a good way to use these ratings to fix that issue with Casual.

I haven't asked yet, but could you propose my suggestion toward the developement staff?
My suggestion would be to ask players to fulfill a simple survey; Of course, they'd get the option to refuse, and once they'd refuse, there'd be an option to select it and fulfill it.. That is, once they're ready and wanna participate.
It doesn't have to be complicated at all!
For ex., - How have you felt during matches you've been playing? Were they balanced, or was there a huge skill gap between each individual?
- There was no skill gap, the matches couldn't have been any more balanced;
- There was a little skill gap, but it was mostly based on players' lucky or good moments;
- There was somewhat a noticeable skill gap, but nothing serious worth addressing;
- There was too obvious skill gap, but we were able to perform somewhat as I'd have expected;
- There was so high skill gap, that we've, barely, been able to touch the ball and take on some possession.

.. You know, something like this.
It could come up with the interval of one survey per two months, or something alike that.

This is something that you'd need to go on Rocket League Discord or Reddit to ask. Psyonix staff checks those places directly. Having us suggest it won't do any good.

And I doubt that Psyonix won't do anything substantial while Epic has got a Colt M1911 pushed up against back of their skull in case they miss some quotas.

It's just how the big gaming corporations work after all. They are the drain where creativity goes sooner or later down the line.
