Failing to realize this topic is over a year old and you still haven't come to grips with the reality that it's over is definitely somewhere in the Merck manual.

Psyonix discontinued support because your base, combined with Mac users is .3% of the player base, total players was 75m which means at best you are a whopping 225,000 players. It would've been a waste of money to upgrade to DX12 to support you.

Anyone can discontinue support of anything at any time, because nobody is obligated to support something. However, because Rocket League is not libre (free as in freedom) software, nobody else is able to support it when they refuse. This is just one of many reasons to reject non-libre software, including games.

It's been over a year. Get. Over. it.

I did get over it. The game mistreats the players and I don't want games like that to be available on GNU systems. Perhaps some day people will recognise that trading their freedom for some enjoyment is not worth it, nor should it be a required trade.
