Game Crash
Hello everyone, or anyone. It's my first time starting a steam discussion, and only as for the sole reason that I couldn't find the answer on the web so here I am. Anyways, I've recently encountered a crash when I play Rocket League that specifically makes my game force me out as soon as a game is completed. If anyone plays Rocket League here, to your knowledge, a game fully ends when either the replay in Overtime is completed, or when the ball hits the ground when someone has a lead. At specifically either of those moments, at that split-second when the game is supposed to be fully complete, my game crashes.

I've searched a bit on the internet but seem to only find generic stuff like "my game crashes" but that's the general "crash" that would be happening at any instance when you're in the game, and NOT at only one specific like "coding", or whatever you call it.

I've tried verifying integrity of files, reinstalled the game, restarted the computer of course since this first occurred yesterday, cleared the cache in file explorer (MyGames), and checked my driver which is still the latest driver, and the same graphics driver I played naturally just before.

Does anyone have an idea what could possibly let this happen since I played Rocket League normally just hours before it happened and hadn't touched anything in like any performance settings, at least not what I know of. It kind of just happened and I was quite baffled when it happened a second time with the same pattern of occurrence.

Ps. I'm now aware that this is only a problem on Steam Rocket League, and I can play Rocket League perfectly fine on Epic Games!

Thanks to anyone who responds to this :)

Hi, thank you for sharing everything you've already tried to fix the issue.
I appreciate the detailed explanation, and I'll do my best to help you find a solution.

Could you please let me know your PC's hardware specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM)?
Also, do you have Microsoft OneDrive installed, and are you currently using BakkesMod? These details might help narrow down the possible causes. Let me know so we can proceed.

Hello! My rig consists of a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060, Intel Core i7-9700 3GHz, 16gb RAM (let me know if I should include something else). I have microsoft OneDrive installed, but I disabled it a while ago, and yes, I always use BakkesMod when I play.

Thank you in advance.

great, it would be now better to rule out some possible factors:

could you try to disable bakkesmod? and also uninstall onedrive / create new save files following my video tutorial?

waiting to hear back from you.

Hello. Didn't want to believe it, but the problem was BakkesMod.

Do you know why it suddently decided to screw with Rocket League now, or? And is there no way for me to play with BakkesMod again? Maybe I can reinstall it and try... -_-

Anyways, thanks for your help!!!

My guess is it's something with the Season 17 Patch (I may be wrong), I would assume Bakkesmod will have an update fairly soon (again, I may be wrong). Hopefully that info is helpful.

Im glad that helped and thank you for reaching back to me.

Its probably because of the new bakkesmod compatibility patch regarding the new season update OR a plugin you had which is now conflicting with something thats has been changed recently in the game.

The steps I would take to resolve the issue are:
- write on a notepad file all the plugins you had
- uninstall bakkesmod and all of his folders completely using the official guide[bakkesmod.fandom.com]
- reinstall bakkesmod and test if the game crashes with the default program settings and no plugins
- if so, reinstall one by one the old plugins and between one and the other play a match to see who was the culprit.

If you can find something useful I'm all ears and I'll try to report it to those directly interested.
