- File explorer - Documents - My games - Rocket League - TAGame - Logs - Open most recent text files (Lauch or Launch-backup) and search for errors inside.

Nothing from the listed things helped and there were no related errors reported in reliability history at all and no clues regarding the crashes in the logs. The game also worked for half a day without a problem and then started not working again when no changes were made, so it's highly likely that it's on the side of Rocket League itself that the connection is not stable. Interestingly enough, at the same time that the game worked for my friend, I had a severe FPS drop (to like 5 frames per second) which disappeared later when the game was not working properly for him again.
What has connection to do with game freezing/crashes ?
Maybe some errors like these appears when you got kicked from match ?

There should be crash reports in Reliability History everytime game crashed or stopped responding. Maybe there are some other errors causing game crash or crash report for "Launcher" with RL icon.
Same for Logs.

There were no related errors reported in reliability history at all, not for Rocket League, Steam, any launchers, graphics cards etc.
In Logs should be something :
File explorer - Documents - My games - Rocket League - TAGame - Logs - Open most recent text files (Lauch or Launch-backup)
