Rocket League
Rocket Leauge issues since last update *solved*
Got it fixed and here is how. So first off the issue. For some reason only certain games have this issue including rocket leauge and team forttress 2. There isn't anything posted online so I had to do some thinking. Before I went to bed i traced my recent actions with my computer. So it turns out with my recent computer swap and set up that I created a custom folder on my secondary drive and that the system didn't like the custom folders so the game would not start. I have 2 solutions to this problem.

Solution 1) Create a folder called "Program Files (x86)" and inside this folder create another folder "Steam" under the steam folder copy the files from your steam folder location, scroll to steamapps, common and select the game folders you desire in this case rocket leauge. Copy and paste them to your secondary drive under your new folder "Steam" Your apps will appear to need to be installed so click the play/install button and watch for the prompt that says discovering files. If you see this prompt it will begin an update for the game. And it will skip the bulk download of game files.

Solution 2) This solution is better for a single game or small games. Uninstall the specific game through the steam client (right click uninstall on the game name located in your library) then reinstall the game and specify the desired location or make sure the location is preset to your main drive and properly under the "program files (x86)" folder or it will not work. The error and game crash/failure to load/run has to do with rocket leauge not reconizing the folder and proper location layout and it must be connected to the original or recreated "program file (x86)" folder.

Hope this helps and my god what a pain in the♥♥♥♥♥this is. Devs please fix so I don't have to do your job next time. lol XD

Uhm, what exactly is the issue? You talk about crashing at the end of the post, yet post it as a solution for people with connection problems.

What exactly do you mean with custom folder? Do you mean customized save locations for windows applications? Or did you install Steam to a non-default location? Or did you add a new steam library? Or just a folder that was not created by the system?

What OS are you using? Especially when talking about system folders and default locations, there can be huge differences between Win7 and Win10.

Yes when you install steam to a non-defualt location and when you save to your download under a new windows folder not the direct path for steam.
Weird...
My steam is in a non-default location ("steam" folder at the root of my secondary SSD, no windows path involved) and the only thing sored at the default steam library are the common redistributables, all games spread across three different partitions. Yet I still don't encounter any problems with RL (whatever your problem was, you still didn't explain that).

Are you sure that steam was properly installed and you correctly set up steam libraries? Maybe some issues with access privileges to your folders after migrating your data from the old computer?
Or is this just another problem with Win10 (no idea what OS you are using)?
Yes, I am sure. I have my main c drive as an SSD with steam now on it whereas to before my steam was on my secondary drive and all my games as well. once I uninstalled steam from my secondary drive and back onto my main drive aka my SSD And downloaded rocket league to the same drive rocket league worked. all my other games are on my secondary drive under the path "program files (x86)"/" steam" and they have no issues. I didn't have a download for win 10 recently only for the rocket league game. Other than the download for rocket league, I swapped my laptop HDDs out into a new laptop and had to reset up my new laptop.
