Not able to forwards flip cancel with PS4 controller

I switched to PS4 controller from xbox controller because my xbox controllers broke too fast.

I can backwards flip cancel absolutely fine but forwards just results in my doing the full rotation like a normal flip. My xbox contollers never had this problem.

What I have done to try and fix it:

Bought another PS4 controller in case it was broken.

Messed around with the Steam controller config settings, dead zones and other options to see if that would fix it.

Changed the in-game dead zone settings to see if that made any difference.

I'd really like to fix this as I want to get better at rocket league, please help.

if you change you're deadzones it would normally work.

There are plenty of people who do it just fine on DS4. So there must be something wrong on your end.

You could try downloading that software that converts DS4 into XInput.
