Serious issue with steam controller config interference

Ok, im in desperate need of help, and this might be quite a long post.
So for around 2-3 months now, on Rocket League, i have been experiencing lots of issues, which I believe are related to steam, however im unsure. around 3 months ago I was messing with the steam config, like square deadzones, changing the slider, etc.. all of that.
I then wanted to revert my changes I just wanted the Normal game back, just like you would if you were to plug and play. However, I have not been able to get my game back to normal despite trying everything that I know to be possible, I will list some things i have tried
Restoring my PC from an image backup
Resetting windows normally
disabling steam input under (rocket league -> properties)
deleting all the files ( they keep coming back because of steam cloud..)
playing on an alt account, still for some reason feels off aswell
tried a different controller
I have tried much more, scoured the internet, read hundreds of posts, not found an issue similar to mine, and its so hard to put in to words what it feels like.
so in the directories;
Program files -> Steam -> userdata -> ID -> UGC (referenced + temp) I have over 200 files, that all contain different deadzone values.
Same with Program files -> Steam -> workshop -> content -> 241100 i believe this is also where steam stores controller configs, there is over 500, that i have generated hundreds of in the process of trying to fix my issue.
Must also mention that my game a week ago, felt almost playable, it seemed, meh, then In the past week the input lag or deadzone (dont even know anymore) has amplified ten fold, now it is getting to a point where i cannot enjoy an inch of the game no matter how hard i try, and ive tried that many things im beyond clueless at this point.
Why is it so hard to get a default game, with all controller saved data FULLY wiped from my profile?
Also in this time, ive probably reset my pc/windows (like factory reset kinda thing) around 20+ times, and the rocket league game itself well over 30, and it still feels the same.
I have messaged steam support and they told me that they cannot delete my data, and were basically useless, im not expecting anyone to fully understand the issue im having, as i cannot explain it through a post like this, hence why its all over the place, so sorry, but if there is someone who knows a lot or could help me feel free to ask questions, ive most likely already tried your suggestion though haha.
I must end this with the fact that no matter what anyone says, its 100% not placebo, i have over 4-5k hours in the game, and my muscle memory has been thrown out the window. and rocket league is not on steam anymore so its not like i can just get another account ( the alt i mentioned before was through family sharing).
(there is also another reason why i cant just get rl on epic games, so please avoid telling me to do that if possible, i just want to fix my account)

I don't understand what is wrong. What "interference"? Also, what controller?

If Steam Controller Config is turned off. The only things that can affect the controller is Windows and Rocket League.

I have been trying to fix this non stop for the last few months, and i can tell you that having your game set to 'disable steam input' and having controller config forced off or whatever, still doesnt mean that steam cant affect you in game, i have all them dsiabled, but if i turn it to forced on, change the slider, then forced off again, it will make your game feel different, try it yourself if you dont believe me, but dont mess your game up.
also i use ps4 controller

I use Xbox One controller and I have Steam Config turned off globally. My controller actually stops working for a second when turning Steam's Config on and off. Same happens with my PS4 controller. All changes to my controllers go away if I turn off config for that controller.

You just seem to have something really wrong.

If anything just leave Steam Config off and only use the controller settings in-game to adjust your Deadzones,

Rocket League has native Xbox One and PS4 controller support. So it's pointless to have Steam Config on.

You still haven't mentioned what issues you're having. Delayed inputs? etc.

yeh and i wish i could get my game back to just plug and play, would feel happy again haha.
in game it kind of feels like if you were to set your deadzone to like 0.5, expect i have all steam input disabled, my settings are normal in game, i honestly struggle to describe my issue, as my game feels different everytime i load it up. i have my controller overclocked and i have timer resolution etc.. i know what my game should feel like, and for some reason it just feels awful, unplayable in a ranked scenario. it feels like i have tried nearly everything possible at this point, other than trying it on someone elses pc, with their account, but i dont know anyone with a pc so that would be a struggle i guess

What are you using to overlock the polling rate? Also what value are you setting it to?

I remember seeing that if you're overclocking DS4(DS5?) controllers. You need a certain value for it to overclock properly, or it can make the controller worse.

Edit: Correction - DualSense needs 250 value to be 8000 Hz.

i dont think the overclocking is an issue, ive always had it overclocked, and the issue only started a while ago. im using the overlock from lord of mice, found from a youtuber called 'nameless'

like i said though this isnt causing it, i have no clue what is, but its seriously pissing me off as its been so long i just want to play with my mates again, its very depressing having to sit here trying to find a fix everytime i come on my pc lol
