game doesnt launch anymore (again)

about 1 month ago the suddenly the game didnt want to start, pressed the play button but roll back to "play" status after 5 secs. But for some reason after many attempts i could make it run, didnt do anything at all, just keep pressing play.

Now i find myself in the same situation, is there a real fix for this? I was playing with no problems, i quitted for a while, then when i want to play again, it just do not launch anymore

Tried renaming the RL folder, it created a new one but it still freezes on launch to a black screen.

Win7 here as well. No 3rd party, tried the folder name change and still nothing. Broken since the Season 4 update.

same here, how can they fU- CK this up so badly to make it unplayable for an entire OS that the unreal engine almost coincided with in similar 3 year span and ran on constantly

Played last night. Go to play a few mins ago, and black screen after running .exe.

Cant alt tab but can ctrl + alt + del and pop says rocket league has stopped working.

Verified files through steam and all is good. Pretty big bug to let through IMO.... :(

i tried renaming the rocket league folder in documents, it did NOT work; instead got black screen which froze the computer making the keyboard unresponsive. Have now deleted the new rocket league folder that it created and renamed "rocket league old" back to rocket league.

Tried the rename the folder and didn't work, also not running antivirus, not running any 3rd party mods like GFG or Bakkesmod, it isn't that stuff, its their F'king update messing up the game, not putting it on us for having other software, they need to take blame for messing everything up and putting out a hotfix ASAP

quickER it was not a comment directed at you, you're trying to be helpful, and for that I am appreciative. I'm a senior developer and am upset with their developing team, again not you. This would never fly in any real world development, and since I hold psyonix to a higher "real world company" standard, I'm understandably frustrated as someone who puts a decent amount of hours to the game and enjoys playing it at a competitive level. Guess I'm just not playing the game anymore. Hopefully a patch is found soon.

As Moderator I can't really confirm this but when I read better it shouldn't cause issues if you copy file as backup and then rename original.

I guess same guy also posted this on RL Discord server that he found on Reddit this solution (didn't provide link) and wrote it's for Windows 7. (and yes that link is only for Bug Reporting section)

From Googling I found it's probably .DLL related for :
"XInput is an API that allows applications to receive input from the Xbox Controller for Windows."

If you want to be sure then you can wait for someone else to confirm this - at best someone who wrote having this issue before.

Otherwise there might be released Hotfix update later.

adding to the solution i posted, it wasnt the onyl thing i did, first i verified the game files, then i search applications in windows10 configuration and looked for virtual studio packages 2015-2019, pressed Modify, then repair, then reboot computer, then i did the renaming folder thing
