RL Controller Crashing PC
Every 2 hours or so while I'm playing rocket league, everything crashes. My PC freezes to the point where even alt-f4 struggles to close windows.

Firstly, all i hear is the disconnect sound you get when unplugging a device. Then I get the disconnect internet symbol and then my PC freezes.

The usb devices I have plugged in when i'm playing RL are wifi stick, Hyper X headset and PS4 controller.

The headset and the wifi stick I have plugged in while playing all other games and they never have any issues. My PS4 controller works fine when i use it for games like Fall Guys.

My PC only freezes on RL. Windows is updated and I have the correct Mbd Drivers installed.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

A few weeks ago I had this same problem. It was crashing in the middle of every other game in RL, leading to completely frozen black screen, needed to reboot.
Temporarily solved it by getting rocket league to open when run as admin. Also turned rumble off on pc xbox pad through big picture mode in steam.

However as of today and after latest RL update, its started freezing/crashing again. RL do not have any discussion of this apparently quite common problem for some PCs in reaction to a RL update, no matter how tiny the update.

I have updated drivers, deleted cache, verifies files etc, nothing has helped.

i can try look on that. From my experience it can be 3rd party program issue.
Ways which can help me to try find issue :
Launch log in Documents - My games - Rocket League - TAGame - Logs to try find something about why game crashed.
Can upload text from file for example to https://pastebin.com/

Also Reliability History in Windows with Crash/Not responding reports :
Control Panel - Security and Maintenance - Maintenance - View Reliability History (Monitor) - View all reports -
Search for Rocket League and View Details for most recent date. (if you have more reports click on "More" and double click to open one with recent time)
Can upload screenshot for example to https://imgur.com/upload

It may be EZFRD64.dll which one guy solved for other game 3 years ago (*edited for RL by me) :
"Found this on some site: (it worked for me)
1. Launch the game with gamepad plugged... let it crash
2. Go to Windows Event Viewer
3. Go to Applications
4. Look for the Error that corresponds to *RocketLeague.exe, it should be recent since we just launched the game
5. Identify the problem in the Error description. Mine said:
Faulting application name: *RocketLeague.exe
Faulting module name: EZFRD64.DLL
So EZFRD64.DLL is causing the crash. That file is located at: C:\Windows\USB_Vibration\ which is a folder that contains gamepad files.
So i searched for it in the windows floder then i deleted it
and the game works fine with the gamepad"

Or how to submit ticket to support with log files :

So, just had it happen now. Was on the main menu for 5-10 minutes. Friend joined and I plugged in the controller. As soon as I plugged it it, everything froze. Waited to see if i could get a crash report or something. Nothing happened so had to manually restart the PC on the case.

This is a link to a paste of the Log after it froze: https://pastebin.com/48FSDtFB
(hopefully that works).

No, sorry did not help me as i thought.
Try look in Reliability history rather or Event Viewer too.

Okay so here's the reliability monitor report:

Source
Windows

Summary
Hardware error

Date
‎23/‎12/‎2020 16:56

Status
Not reported

Description
A problem with your hardware caused Windows to stop working correctly.

Problem signature
Problem Event Name: LiveKernelEvent
Code: 144
Parameter 1: 100a
Parameter 2: ffffb18505044960
Parameter 3: 0
Parameter 4: 0

Service Pack: 0_0
Product: 768_1
OS Version: 10.0.18363.2.0.0.768.101
Locale ID: 2057

From what I gather from the Microsoft forums its either a graphics problem or a USB issue. Its probably a USB issue since I have no graphics card problems (which would make sense).

Its a bit strange but i'll keep searching online.

Thanks for your help.
