Temporarily solved it by getting rocket league to open when run as admin. Also turned rumble off on pc xbox pad through big picture mode in steam.
However as of today and after latest RL update, its started freezing/crashing again. RL do not have any discussion of this apparently quite common problem for some PCs in reaction to a RL update, no matter how tiny the update.
I have updated drivers, deleted cache, verifies files etc, nothing has helped.
Ways which can help me to try find issue :
Launch log in Documents - My games - Rocket League - TAGame - Logs to try find something about why game crashed.
Can upload text from file for example to https://pastebin.com/
Also Reliability History in Windows with Crash/Not responding reports :
Control Panel - Security and Maintenance - Maintenance - View Reliability History (Monitor) - View all reports -
Search for Rocket League and View Details for most recent date. (if you have more reports click on "More" and double click to open one with recent time)
Can upload screenshot for example to https://imgur.com/upload
It may be EZFRD64.dll which one guy solved for other game 3 years ago (*edited for RL by me) :
"Found this on some site: (it worked for me)
1. Launch the game with gamepad plugged... let it crash
2. Go to Windows Event Viewer
3. Go to Applications
4. Look for the Error that corresponds to *RocketLeague.exe, it should be recent since we just launched the game
5. Identify the problem in the Error description. Mine said:
Faulting application name: *RocketLeague.exe
Faulting module name: EZFRD64.DLL
So EZFRD64.DLL is causing the crash. That file is located at: C:\Windows\USB_Vibration\ which is a folder that contains gamepad files.
So i searched for it in the windows floder then i deleted it
and the game works fine with the gamepad"
Or how to submit ticket to support with log files :
https://support.rocketleague.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015694413-I-Want-to-Report-a-Bug-or-Glitch
This is a link to a paste of the Log after it froze: https://pastebin.com/48FSDtFB
(hopefully that works).
Try look in Reliability history rather or Event Viewer too.

From what I gather from the Microsoft forums its either a graphics problem or a USB issue. Its probably a USB issue since I have no graphics card problems (which would make sense).
Its a bit strange but i'll keep searching online.
Thanks for your help.
