Underclock values for GTX 750 Ti? Trying to resolve crashing issue.
Hello, there is a lot to my issue and a history behind it- I went directly to my cards nvidia manufacturer (EVGA), and had some responses. I think it is a hardware issue, although one mod there said that is likely isn't since this is the only game over 8+ years that crashes for me on this system. He suggested underclocking GPU and seeing if that works.

For a full description of the crashing and my attempted solutions- please see this link here: https://forums.evga.com/Unresolved-crashing-issue-in-Rocket-League-GTX-750-Ti-Need-a-master-troubleshooter-m3052018.aspx

For Windows 7 suggestion you can just try to set run all game exe in compatibility for Windows 7.

And for MSI Afterburner they have bot command on Official Discord Server related to that like this:
!crashing If you are suffering from crashes, you could potentially find a fix here: https://support.rocketleague.com/hc/en-us/sections/360002836294-Platform-Crash-Guides Alternatively, try deactivating MSI Afterburner / RivaTuner if you are on Steam If you're crashing on DX11 and have an Nvidia GPU, try disabling "Image sharpening" in your Nvidia Control Panel
Although not sure if it's all updated informations because I think Nvidia got fixed by newest driver and I'm not using MSI Afterburner.

So, what I did is I just changed the base/boost clock speed in MSI afterburner to what a "normal" GTX 750 Ti is set to. Reason I say that, is because my GTX 750 Ti is labeled "SC" which I assume means superclocked. Using GPU-Z it said the default clock speed is 1176 MHz- I checked online what a normal 750 Ti clockspeed is, which is 1020 MHz- so I lowered that clock speed in MSI afterburner by 156 MHz. I did not touch the memory clock speed- not sure if this would ever make a difference, but let me know.

Although i think you did most of that.

Wait you edited that :steammocking: before https://imgur.com/cvkUXeo

Anyway:
Ntdll.dll: https://support.rocketleague.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024292254-How-Do-I-Fix-a-Runtime-or-NTDLL-Error-when-Starting-Rocket-League-

That is all i can think of these errors.

Hmm yeah I did. What about those clock values, they sound alright? I haven't crashed since I lowered it by 156 MHz, but I doubt that fixed it. Sometimes I can go 1-2 days without crashing then boom. Very random, almost like a relapse.

Yes, 1020MHz is basic https://www.nvidia.com/gtx-700-graphics-cards/gtx-750ti/ , maybe Rocket League does not like Overclocking

If you turn on Debug mode in Nvidia Control Panel. It'll remove factory overclocks.

True, I'm using the msi afterburner method right now. Do you think putting the clock down to what the non SC gtx 750 Ti version will help? Maybe my card is very rare and Psyonix never optimized their game for a GTX 750 Ti SC , cuz who the hell has that anyway. Fingers crossed again.

If this doesn't fix it. I can only recommend some very last ditch effort things.

Like, reseating the GPU, CPU and RAM. Try a different PCIE slot, etc. As strange as it is. Some PSU's can also cause games to crash without killing the system.

Could also try running a stress test of 3DMark or Heaven benchmark to see if you can cause it to crash in those as well.

I use EVGA Precision for overclocking my GPU.(Even though I use an ASUS Strix 1080TI) It feels more user-friendly than MSI Afterburner. I also like that it has a "Boost mode" Which locks in my boost clocks for more stability. https://i.imgur.com/6RFhFvN.jpg

So far the game hasn't crashed after playing for 6+ hours. I doubt the issue is fixed, but who knows. I am never going to get my hopes up again, as I have in the past. I'll give it at least 3-5 days of consistent playing and update it here.

If that is the case, then the fix was underclocking my GPU down to 1020 MHz from 1176 MHz. If Psyonix never optimized around a 750 Ti SC card, maybe that is why - idk how coding or the process works though, so I could be completely wrong.

It also doesn't really make sense that slightly underclocking the GPU would be the fix, but again who knows.
