No sound Rocket League 2020

okay so ive seen a lot on the internet about fixing sound problems in Rocket League on pc over the past couple of years. I have yet to see someone post about it this year. I have been playing it without sound for about a year or longer. It is a pain but I make it work and I have become used to playing without.

HOWEVER, usually when Rocket comes out with an update, the sound will actually work (without me changing anything) for about the first couple of times I open it after the update but then it just goes right back to not working. I have tried a laundry list of things to fix it including.....

checking windows spatial sound and ensuring it is on
uninstalling and reinstalling audio driver
changing just about every setting between the computer and headset and resetting it
changing the actual file of Rocket league routing sound
adjusting in game sound settings
making sure the sound isnt trying to route out of my computer to anything other than my headset
ran countless tests on audio driver
changed sound mixer settings and volumes
uninstalling dlc packs
cried myself to sleep
and other things

I would love to have consistent Rocket League sound as it does hinder me during gameplay at some points when i accidentally double commit bc i dont have time to look for a teammate in solo queue, getting demoed, etc. Its really just a hassle and im tired of not having sound. if anyone could help me out if they have the same issue still or if they figured something else out please lmk. thanks

Hm my friend, since I fixed that I must run Rocket League as Administrator:
Go to Steam - Rocket league - Local files - browse local files - binaries - RocketLeague.exe - Right click properties - Compatibility tab - Run as Administrator and Apply.
Or do it for .exe in Win32 folder
Maybe also need to run in Compatibility Win 7

I appreciate your help, however none of these fixes worked for me.
I attempted to run as admin under binaries for the RocketLeague.exe file, under Win32 and Win64. I also ran Compatibility Win 7 and Win 8 and neither of those worked as well. I also moved my game file from SSD to Hard Drive to see if that would work and it also did not work. I do not know what else to try but I appreciate your help!

iv fixed it, on yr task bar on yr desktop, right click yr volume button and look either in setting or the option list that appears. turn ON spatial sound. (i also have the game .exe as run admin to be sure)

go into your volume mixer and turn on spatial sound
its weird, i dunno why it works but it did for me

If you're using a controller, go to settings, sounds, and make sure your output is set to headphones, not controller. That was my issue.
