Error Communicating with Rocket League servers

For the last 4 days Rocket League has been opening in a single-player mode, I cannot see the shop, friends list, special event, rocket pass etc. I click 'play online' and instead of the game-modes appearing i see this error ''Error communicating with Rocket League Servers, try again later''.

I have reinstalled the game, reinstalled steam, verified game files, checked port-forwarding, turned off firewall on my pc and in my ISP hub manager. My friend was able to get it running fine on his PC and I had the same problems as above when trying to use his account. All other steam games are running fine.

So, as far as I can tell there is an issue with my connection talking to the Rocket League servers but is beyond my abilities to diagnose, any help appreciated!

netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns

delete taggame

I tried everything.
Deleting cache folder per psyonix support.
The network settings mentioned above.
Firewall checks.
Router reboots.
Verifying game files.

None of those things worked... but deleting the TAGame folder and reverifying game files worked! Thanks for that. For some reason I had to perform this on 2 of my PCs but 1 was not affected. Very strange from a troubleshooting perspective. Thanks to OP for posting about this issue too.

EDIT: it didn't work on my laptop... not sure why.

just download the game from epic launcher it self...

it's seems logic but why it works with another PC and not here ? looks strange. Maybe it's for playing only on Epic... Who knows

EDIT : i tried with my wife's steam account and my Epic account, same error

After i connect one time through a vpn and start the game, i get my connection back and it works now without vpn. Maybe it will help someone.

just download the game from epic launcher it self...

I was able to get 1 PC back online like I said above, but my laptop won't budge. I don't use Steam for RL so my only choice is Epic launcher. I fresh installed through the launcher and no change. It's all the Epic Network regardless of whether it's Steam/Epic.

Some more success. I just opened up the game, turned on the music, and alt-tabbed while I listened to the music in the background while I surfed for probably 20-30 mins and then (because I did a fresh install) heard the loud clang of a billion item notifications come through as it connected.

I didn't really do anything, just let it sit idle with the opportunity to connect, and it did. Eventually... I hope this helps as this has been quite frustrating.

try this, it worked for me.

Right-click on the date and time in the bottom right corner -> adjust date/time-> set time automatically.

I hear that works for this error but some of us tried that to no avail.

My router was blocking r3.o.lencr(dotorg) and when I unblocked it I connected right away on all affected PCs. I didn't want to put the actual URL here because I don't totally understand what it is or why unblocking it would help especially since google couldn't link it back to rocket league. Has anyone else seen this?

Thank you, this was it for me. My Pihole blocked "r3.o.lencrdotorg" for the first time i start RL, then nothing works exept restart and vpv. I whitelist this domain, and it works now fine. Sorry for my bad neglish, and thank you! I never found this one, cause it is only blocked at first time.
