The other system doesnt had the problem.
I couldnrt believe it but for me the controller vibration caused the framesdrops and stutter. After turning controller vibration of in the rocket league menu everything went back to buttersmooth.
It was really the vibration and it makes sense. When jumping it vibrates and when hitting the ball. When in supersonic and so on.
What a wierd bug.
Im on a xbox one controller with a bluetoothdongle.
Just wanted to thank you. I just got a 1080Ti and was perplexed by the frame rate issue dropping from 150fps to 60fps when doing flips or jumps in the car. Turns out - yep, the vibrate feature on my XBOX One controller was causing it. Can't believe this hasn't been fixed. My controller is connected to the built-in BT in my computer, so it's not just the dongle that's an issue.
Anyway, thank you. I'd have never figured this out.
I solved it fully now. I was having frame-rate issues in other games, related to the built-in BT connection to my computer from the XBOX One controller. I switched to the XBOX Adapter for Windows, and now I can use vibration without any frame drops in Rocket League, and it also solved my other frame-rate issues in other games.
You can see my issue here, and all are related to this:

So you may want to switch to the XBOX One adapter. I believe it uses Direct WiFi for its connection, not Bluetooth, so it will probably fix this issue and any others you might be having. I'm using a G-Sync monitor, and this adapter has saved me a massive headache (though it took me about 5 hours of troubleshooting to figure out the controller was the issue... sigh).
So I don't know WHY Bluetooth on our computers is causing this issue with some games and not others, but I do know for sure that the XBOX Adapter for Windows solves it, and is likely the path of least resistance.
I went back and tried the BT connection just to make sure, and yep - still frame rate issues with vibrate on. So definitely stick with the Xbox adapter for Windows!
THANK YOU. I had just bought a new xbox controller so I could play wirelessly via the bluetooth and was noticing frame drops down to like 4 fps. I turned off the vibration feedback and everything is as smooth as butter at 250 fps max.
