Happens to me with very old replays (like 2 years old) too.
They start normal, when i try to skip to a certrain point the game will crash.
One of my crashes is on Urban Central (Rainy).
Another is Urban Central (Night).
Another one on Urban Central (Rainy)
Another one for Urban Central (Night).
I have an Urban Central (Dawn) that's fine, though. And I haven't found one that crashes that isn't Urban Central Rainy or Night.
Are you seeing the same thing?
Hopefully they make it a priority to fix this; to say that every Urban Central replay before the patch is unviewable (and crashes the game) is unacceptable.
For the solution, I think they would need to have two versions of Urban Central, one with the old boost pad locations, one with the new boost pad locations, and then have an identifier in the replay file to call the right version.
If this happened in Hoops when they adjusted boost locations, they should've known about this and planned for it.
