Is it possible to target what items i want?
I remember playing this game a while ago and one of my favorite items that i owned was a Gripstride HX inverted collection, sadly i traded them off for better items. And since for some reason trading is no longer a thing, is there a way i can somehow get them? A back i buy for a few bucks? Try opening drops? Man id pay money if i could buy it

From what I’ve found online, those wheels were part of the Season 2 Rocket Pass back in 2018–2019. They were obtainable while trading was still available, but ever since trades were removed, there’s no way to get them anymore.

This makes it more likely they won’t return to the Item Shop, especially since Rocket Pass items usually don’t come back, and there are no blueprints for that type of wheel. There was one case where a Rocket Pass item showed up in the shop, but it was a newly painted variant that hadn’t been released before.

Unfortunately, the chances of them coming back are pretty low. I’d recommend setting up alerts on sites like RL Garage or checking the Item Shop regularly with each refresh.

That said, if you play on PC, there are still tools like Bakkesmod that let you use those wheels client-side and even choose the paint variant you prefer—so you can still enjoy how they look in-game.
There's no trading items in this game anymore. You'll have to learn to like whatever you can get, not the other way around.

I have over 45000 matches of Rocket League over 9 years and I only have 6 varieties of Gripstride HX wheels. not even one of each color so that shows you that they aren't at all common and only one of them I have is inverted, some ugly green ones. I suspect they were available in one of the Rocket Pass seasons and your chance of getting one at any time outside of that season is exceptionally rare because there are just so many different varieties of items available in this game and the item shop only has 5 of them selected randomly. I have 2000 wheels in my inventory alone. I don't own any Gripstride HX blueprints, so I suspect these wheels were never available as a blueprint.
