Game is an absolute smurf fest (EU)

Me and my brother are D3-C1, and every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ match there's a default octane doing stuff that a GC would do, we lost 14 out of 20 matches today against smurfs only, it seems to be an EU problem only at this point, because my US friends say that they barely find any, and they are the same rank as me. I know that Epic won't do ♥♥♥♥ about them because smurfs=new accounts, and that shows the investors that "omg the game is big and growing", when in reality it's a just a bunch of throw away accounts. I would actually pay 20-30$ to have a feature like CS or Siege where you can't play with ranks lower than yours to avoid me and my brother playing against a D3 (sucks at the game) and a Plat 2 (clearly GC+).

I have been having patience ever since the game became free to play but it's about to run out, at this point it's not even a skill issue because I am clearly playing against people who are better in lower ranks. It's like putting Messi playing football against kids in a wheelchair

It's happening all over the board. I'm at the high end of gold / bottom of plat at the moment, never been higher than plat 3 playing RL, yet (and regularly) matchmaking pits me up playing competitive against full stacks with diamond tournament titles. I think matchmaking is the problem. There needs to be internal AI processes that analyse players, and how they play. If a brand new account is air dribbling for example, what's the point putting them against a player that has never gone over gold 3 and never shown any mechanical ability.

RL matchmaking leaves a lot to be desired. It's either broken, or simply fails at knowing its own game.

I already "scream with joy" when i see a team and looking at the elo score where at least 1 player has an relative low elo in compare to the match itself.

From what i see in non team matches the elo never goes really crazy with a +-range of 100 above/below my elo.

Thing is that there are 2 type of teams i encountered.
1. The low elo smurf team
Basically at least 1 player of the team has a low elo score with at least 200- of the average elo score (as example in an elo range of 1300 the player has at least 1100 elo or less). The whole team however does tricks and stuff that definetly qualify for GC+ ranks with precice ball controll; air dribble; flip reset and what not of shenanigans

2. The low elo "noob team"
This team mostly is noticably bad as it mostly consists of 2 very low elo players and the 3rd one with the highest elo score of the whole round. The intersting part (if it´s not intentional) is that the low elo team mates play like they did just start to play RL while the high elo player can basically carry the game for them in most situations

I think i will never understand the smurf mentality or what kind of joy it gives them if they know that they just ruin the experience for others who want to relax after a long day of work or whatever but instead you can enjoy a fest of being encountered against players who play way more intense and skilled and all i can think about is they only do it cus they can´t win in their respective ranks anymore.

I´m commonly in the P2-3 range until the game decided to go all crazy again and throw me in a series of matches that are nearly impossible to win just due of smurf and elo abuse teams...

U forgot that option where they are in same ELO but one guy has 350matches played in that season and the other just 15

im in bronze 3 and i don't see anyone smurfing
