Same, you can do it through plugins on bm with replays but not online. A custom local playlist of maps rather than the global map pool could be really good.
Also, consider the following thought experiment: Everyone is free to choose an arena on the client side. So called meta arenas will be favorited quickly, because winning is everything. Players who feel entitled to win always, players who lack a sense of fairness, or players who simply are toxic will begin to blame others for their choice of arena. The established level playing field is gone, and more abuse has been introduced.
bingo!
This game has very little RNG and the randomness of which map you get it part of the charm.
This is just an online game, not a tournament. And this game should be comfortable.
If a player thinks that he plays better, sees the ball movement better, opponents in a light/dark arena, then let him choose this arena style.
Browsers, mobile phones, applications have long switched to light/dark theme. Everyone should choose a comfortable theme for themselves!
In the bright light arena from the latest update, the ball is very poorly visible against the bright outside world. And the arena borders are also very poorly visible. This is not normal !
