The issue about Smurfs

I'm currently 1500-1530 , playing with a mate with the same MMR, everysingle match we play, there is one 1600 guy and a new account 1100-1300, we obviously get destroyed by some SSL smurfs or even GC3. This is happening to every single rank because people are getting destroyed and just go on smurfs, it's so easy now.

People are leaving the game and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ skins won't help get people back.

People from different platforms can transfer accounts rank so your comment is not valid man

Also , if the guy was good he'd have the right MMR ?

New people would also mean that they are at the good rank and then the MMR is ♥♥♥♥ ( it is ) or that they are smurfing.

I mean come on man, 1300 mmr in a 1600 lobby and he's double resetting on us

Instead of crying here which is not gonna help in any way btw, take the opportunity to improve and learn from playing against these higher ranked player. Save the replay and analyse it. See what they are doing different etc.

I'm not crying , i'm not enjoying the game because people take advantage of how bad the situation is. I don't want to get into replay mode for hours when i have a full time job and just want to play ranked. Not everyone wants to be a pro or do analysing ♥♥♥♥, i want to play people at my rank not against some smurfing ass low ball energy.

Also what you're saying is totally avoiding the problem that now is thicc in the game but hey, shut up and watch the replays of how you will never be able to win against people that have 3x times the amount of skill you'll never have.

Analysing or trying to learn how to be better doesn't mean you wanna be a pro. I work full time as well but I do enjoy the game enough that I like to focus on improving and getting better. Thats whats nice about this game, you always can improve and learn. But hey, if you don't wanna do these things thats fine I get it, I'm just giving you an other way of seeing it to make it more enjoyable for you because clearly you aren't. At this point you do what you want.

And yes I am avoiding the problem because smurfing will always be in the game, like any other competitive games.

My son and I are running into the same problem, lots of smurfs. We've never seen it this bad. Its hard to go 3 games without running into one or a team of two. I believe the smurfing issue is just slowly killing the game. It will just frustrate players who are playing in the proper elo but are getting absolutely dunked on every 3rd game. I can speak for my son and I, that we are near the breaking point and will likely just find a new game. Epic or Psyonix are not killing this game, the community is slowly driving away its own players.

people on new/smurf accounts gain/loose more MMR in their first dozen of matches till it settles to the usual 5-10 per match.

So if u have bakkesmod etc. installed and u notice a player in your ranked match gaining way more points then the others (depending on rank smth. between 20-200 points) u can be assured that its a smurf account.

I got that and i've been through that phase of wanting to improve some years ago but now i just want to enjoy the gameplay at my rank and not get dunked on every 2 matches.

It's just annoying and it's driving people off the game, Psyonix problem to be honest i'm moving on to other games and might come back here and then in casual with friends

It is killing the game, multiple streamers have talked about the issue, the smurfing and boosting issue is disturbing the ranked really hard and people dont want to bother fighting the smurfs.

Anyone defending these wankers who create alt accounts to beat easier players are also part of the problem. Many other games do more against smurf account then this game has and at the end of the day smurfing and alt accounts is cheating. Whether you are boosting a mate through ranked which ♥♥♥♥♥ their MMR as well or just being a pin ♥♥♥♥ ego boy who feels the need to flip reset people 20+ ranks below you, its not necessary. If you are a good player in GC and up go play on your main and grind like the rest of us. I personally don't feel the need to make new accounts and go ♥♥♥♥ on diamonds and low champ or even plat for the matter. Been playing since the start of this game and now find myself hitting a wall at C2 where I either win via a close game or get destroyed by fresh Epic accounts with stockanes. I cant imagine how ♥♥♥♥ it must be for newer players trying to deal with these low self esteem sooks who cant win in their own elo.

consulting steam forum is the last thing you'd want to do. I've always have problems with premades since forever. ranted about it years ago and most replies can be summarized as "deal with it", some literal some tl;dr. I've only made technical troubleshooting post ever since.

it ain't helping as well that you cannot just leave in casual whenever you're met with smurfs or premades. used to take it for granted, now it's a crying shame.
