That said, unless their ping is red I usually don't bother, but it's also a fact that NA & EU still hold the most player base, and queuing there gives the shortest matchmaking time compared to their own region.
Asked someone from Asia & OCE who queued every server region and often times they got matched in no time towards NA/EU.
I didnt even select NA, selected US EAST/WEST. I would have zero objections to waiting significantly longer if it meant no players from Mexico or the Phillipines let alone EU. 90% of the players with poor sportmanship or afking/quitting have a Latin name and a ping over 150.
Currently I cancel and search again if it takes over 10 seconds, that seems to be when it expands the search.
