New to the game and literally sitting in queue for doubles going on 20 minutes now...

Casual or Ranked?

In Ranked when new it might struggle a bit to find something that suits you - most of the playerbase is at Platin-Champ, if your new your MMR is 600 wich equals to about Gold2 or Gold3 if im not mistaken (u can look it up)
But... 20 Minutes, damn, cancel and re-search - also, what gamemode are u searching?

i'm curious. How long have you been sitting on this game for in your library ?
If i'm not mistaken and unless i've missed something. You can not purchase the game on steam anymore and haven't been able to for years.

So i find it facinating to hear a steam player saying they are new

Yeah, better to cancel search and try again.
It may help to tick option in Settings - Gameplay - Cross-Platform Play so you can search for match with console players too.

They wrote doubles so 2v2, could be more likely Casual but also Ranked.

Yeah, you missed something - next to name users who have Mouse icon have game in Steam Library, OP does not. (I have it overlapped with Star icon showing me as volunteer Steam forums moderator)

Also it is still possible to get game on Steam, just not directly from Steam Store but from 3rd party with risk of it being scam or at least way more expensive (most ToS friendly would be Steam Game Gift but that is quite rare and often region restricted)

I think you are correct. I am so new that its hard to find a match for me. I was in a queue multiple times for over 10 minutes just playing in freeplay. I restarted my game and did a few bot matches and got some xp to rank up and I think that helped because I got a match soon after.

I bought it back in 2016 on a different account and I family share to this account. I barely use my other account anymore and just decided recently to play it again. Even so, my main account only has a few hours on it. So yea pretty new. Im bad lol
