Recommended Settings to get more FPS?
Can someone please tell me wheat graphics settings I should use to help get more FPS? I don't want the settings so low that the game looks bad but just enough to get close to 60fps. Which settings can I turn off without ruining the games visuals which will help improve performance? I've already turned off Anti-Aliasing and put the resolution down to 720p. I tried turning off the shaders settings but the game looks terrible when I did that so I left it on. What about other settings like Light Shafts etc?

Settings depend on your hardware. If you don't share your specifications, how can we give you tips on improving your FPS?

This game runs at a constant 60+ FPS on my system, everything maxed out. But I'm running it on a FX-8150 @ 4GHz and R9 290 OC Edition...

I have a HP Laptop Intel Core i7-2670QM @ 2.20 GHz, 4GB RAM and a Radeon 7690M XT graphics card.
This is something you can test for yourself. Enable steam FPS counter and see what graphic option is causing the most frame drops.

Steam has an FPS counter?

Since you're on a laptop, you should know that all your hardware performs less than the desktop equivalent. That being said, I'd say your machine meets the recommended requirements only just, so in your video settings, try setting all the dropdown boxes to High Performance. Turn off dynamic shadows and ambient occlusion. Not too sure about how much performance gain you'll get from turning off light shafts. But just use the High Performance and no shadows and occlusion as your starting point. Try adjusting it from there using the FPS counter.

Lowering the resolution was a good start, but that shouldn't be required - you should be able to run this at your normal resolution on 'low' settings.
Steam Settings > In-Game > In-game FPS counter ;)
