I just cannot hit this ball !
I have no idea how people do to hit it :P I mean, you have to get a so precise timing to do it ! The worst is when the ball is high in the air.. If I switch in ball-focused camera mode, I can't see my car anymore and I don't really know where I'm going ; if I switch to my car view, well I don't know where the ball is in the air.

For the people who manages to do it consistently, how many hours have you spent into the game before being able to do so ?

not very long tbh, maybe 30 mins...its a whole other ball game doing it all the time though ;-) I think the majority of players still miss it every now and then when they play(myself included)

your skill will raise as more you play, really learning the timing by doing

Missing and scoring into your own goal is a constant part of the game ! Adjust your camera settings and try not to use the camera-ball lock too much.... its poorly designed, we should honestly be able to turn around 360 with the mouse -.- (btw right analog stick can do this if you are using a controller atm or ? anyone got a clue ??)

Just keep on practicing, the satisfaction you'll get when you can hit the majority of your shots is great. What really helped me out was just going into free play mode and just slamming the ball every chance I had. Try going to free play for about 3-5 minutes every few matches and practice all sorts of jump combos and how they affect the ball or your movement. Rinse and repeat until you get the hang of it

There is a white circle underneath the ball when it is in the air. To time the landing of the ball watch the white circle closely. When there is a small circle inside the big circle that means the ball is really high up. when the circle starts to get bigger and close to touching the other outside rim of the big circle then it means its close to landing. that is when you should time your jump.

Don't worry, I also had the same feeling when I started this game. Your brain will automatically start figuring out what to do when the ball is high in the air eventually (you'll know where to position your car relative to the ball cam, etc.). As far as hitting it, you'll eventually learn how to time the bounces, and know when to wait for an extra bounce before hitting it.

Also, I would recommend not to hit the ball when it is in the air near the wall. Wait till it comes down to the ground, and time the hit.

A lot of the stuff I've been doing has come from watching people like Kronovi play and by doing the various tutorials over and over until I can do them consistently (I still can't get All-Star consistently) but if you need help, that's what I would suggest.

I would also suggest heading over to this channel here https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCr60RZpj-xySMVBF9ZFk9zg as they have quite good tutorials and instructions.

Thanks everyone for your tips, I appreciate it :)

Also, do you tend to use ball view, car view, or both ?

I use ball cam almost all the time. Only time I use car view is when I am trying to get the 100% energy pod, and the ball is on the other side of the stadium. Need to be able to see which way I am going. :-)
