Issues with "dodge forward" on controller
Hey folks, so I'm a noob. Anyway. going through the advanced tutorial, using a gamepad when it says to do a forward dodge to hold "w" and do a double tap jump to do that. It works fine when holding W, but not when holding "up" on my control pad. That results in me jumping in place.

Any tips? I don't really want to use a keyboard for this game.

Thanks!

I mean, up on the pad makes me go forward and that's the same bind as "W" according to the controls menu. That's why I don't understand. Dodge left and dodge right work perfectly.
and just so we're on the same page, it's an analog pad.
Well I'm running logitech profiler but I don't think that's binding it to anything beside the x axis.
OK, so here's another strange thing: when I bind the "move forward" to "W" and "UP" on the DIGITAL keypad on the controller, doing a double jump does something different but not exactly what is expected: so this time, it doesn't do dodge forward, but does a "double jump" as if I'm sitting still. (I.E. bounces straight up in the air but doesn't do the little "flip")

something to note as well is when I bind forward to "up" on the dpad, it doesn't clear the entry for "up" on the dpad as the default quick chat.

there's no folder called config in the C:\users\me\Documents\My Games\Rocket League folder.
There's a folder called TAGame with a config folder in it, though?
what I meant was, inside the rocket league folder there's a folder called TAGame and in that folder there's a folder called config.
using the x360ce drivers worked. But I had to go in and manually remap all controls as they detected all messed up. Also was still having the issue with the dodge forward but remap to the same control solved it (for example, ion x360ce UI it showed up as up but in game it was making it go backwards, but selecting it and remapping made it function correctly). Perhaps the remapping was the solution in the first place. This seems bug-like but dont know for sure.
First things first, check if you have a "Mode" button or something on your controller. It basically toggles whether your sticks are actually sticks or whether they simulate another D-Pad. I couldn't do the double tap dodge either, until I switched modes, thereby going from digital sticks to analog sticks. Suddenly it worked. :) Or maybe it was the other way around? Maybe I was analog and needed to go digital? Who knows...

I'm using a Logitech wireless gamepad, and I had to use the Logitech Profiler software to invert the left stick Y axis to make it work correctly in Rocket League. There really should be a setting for that in the game settings, because it drove me crazy when every other game I play uses classic PC controllers correctly.
Same Issue here. Logitech Rumble Pad. Cleaned all up, tried the Xbox Emulator, no Dodge Jump possible.

This works:

- Using "W" at the Keyboard and "Jump" on the Controller -> Dodge Jump
- Using configured Forward on Controller (as "W") and right Mouse Button -> Dodge Jump

This doesn't work:

- Using configured Forward on Controller an Jump on Controller -> Gives double Jump

I'm using the defautl Windows 8.1 Drivers, no Logitech Software installed.

Please fix this behaviour, it's a real disadvantage playing online :(
